Comments about Dean Markley 2035 CL Blue Steel Cryogenic Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've been playing 40 plus years and I must confess these are the best strings (in all catagories) I have ever used. Occasionally I will try a different manufacturer but I always return to these Dean Markley's. I play mostly blues and do alot of string bending, alternate tuneing, etc. I have never broken a Dean Markley string. These strings are crisp sounding and long lasting. I like believe in these strings so much that I will give a set away to a fellow musician to entice him to switch. I use them on all my acoustic guitars.

Comments about Dean Markley 2035 CL Blue Steel Cryogenic Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have been using Blue Steel CL on my flat top for a year. For the money, it is an awesome string. I like the sound better than some higher priced strings I've used in the past (other brand). They hold really hold their tune well, and they sound real bright. I like the sound better than the strings that I had been using, and they last almost as long.

the stings make a cheap acoustic sound much better, they really have rich "unpluged" sound.

not worth your money

Comments about Dean Markley 2035 CL Blue Steel Cryogenic Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Blue steel acoustic strings are the worst strings I have ever played with. I got two free packs when I purchased a sound hole pickup (also not worth your money). I lead worship twice a day all summer long at a summer camp, so I am hard on strings. I broke 3 strings in one week! I typically use elixar strings and they will last me a month. (Elixars don't break on me after a month, the tone is just gone)

Rich Tone, Short Life

Comments about Dean Markley 2035 CL Blue Steel Cryogenic Acoustic Guitar Strings:

The Dean Markley Blue Steel line of acoustic guitar strings produce a rich vibrant tone. The life of these strings seems short though. The strings seem to tarnish and go dead much faster than that of other strings, but this may only be caused by my individual body chemistry, and other people may not experience the same problem with these strings tarnishing as I do.Personally I would recommend the Martin Marquis line of strings over the Dean Markley Blue Steel. The Martin strings seem to last longer (again this may only be due to my individual body chemistry) do not tarnish or go dead as quickly, and have a bit of a silkier tone as opposed to that of the Blue Steel's crisp tone.If you change your strings before every gig, then the life of the strings will not be an issue, but they are a bit pricey.
