Floyd Rose Licensed?

By MdogW

from Central MO

Comments about Dean Markley 2501 XL NickelSteel Electric Guitar Strings:

Bought one of those E-*** "licensed" Floyd Rose Tremelos, but the strings kept flying out of the blocks. Searched high and low, finally found these Dean Markleys. The Ball End drops right down in the housing, allowing you to chuck the little sorry a$$ blocks as far as you can throw them. My Dive Bombing has never been more worry free, and has never been better. Thanks DM!

Don't Fear The Gauge

By Ampbox

from USA

Comments about Dean Markley 2501 XL NickelSteel Electric Guitar Strings:

I know some guys who think 8's are lame, but these things shred. Maybe it's only because I use a 'shredstick' that the 8's rock so well. So, if you need to shred, get these. Even at the lightest gauge, Dean Markley NickelSteels still have high output, volume, sustain, and tone, with a great feel. Also, they are not 'spaghetti-like' like other brands at 8. The NickelSteels (for me) have the perfect tension and still have excellent tone.

These strings are specific.

Comments about Dean Markley 2501 XL NickelSteel Electric Guitar Strings:

I put these strings on my Agile solid body electric and use them to play classic rock.. stuff like Ozzy.. Alice in Chains.. etc. These strings make a GREAT noise for rock or metal solos, but..If you plan to play acoustic chords, get something else. The downsides to these strings are that they break easily, like many .08's, and they sound real bad for acoustic chord-playing. The reason they do this is cause these strings are supersensitive to bends and how hard you press, so for acoustic chords, it sounds like they're out of tune. However, for rock and such, they're great.

They're not kidding when they say long life.

Comments about Dean Markley 2501 XL NickelSteel Electric Guitar Strings:

I've played music for over 25 years, and I've never broken a Dean Markley string. Hard rock music was my style and performance after performance, strings never broke. Great string for the money!!! I've used several strings in the past, but Dean Markley is the only one for me now. This last set I put on has lasted 9 years, and other than a little rust, they're still rockin away! Tell me of another string that can take that!
