been trying various brands of strings for 10 years now. DR, D'Addario, GHS Carvin, everly, etc. recently settled on Ernie Ball since the sound is better than the others that ive tried but they have way too much treble and wonky mids. this is even more pronounced the newer the strings are and doesnt really go away even when the strings are near the end of their life. Finally decided to try a set of Blue Steels after a talking to a local music store. These are the way to go if you want a very balanced sound. bass was present but not overly so, mids were strident but not wonky sounding and treble was subdued somewhat but very sweet. they last forever. i play for about 6 hours a week and they last about 1-2 months. Ive never heard my ibanez SZ sound so beautiful. if youve been searching for

I've used these strings for over 20 years and now they do not have the same qualities I liked about them from when I first started using them. At first they sounded good for a long time and lasted (without breaking) a long time too. The newest batch I got all seem to break way too easily on strings 1, 2, and 3. Yes, they still sound good, but something has changed and now I find myself in search of another string.

Comments about 2552 Blue Steel Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Bought a couple sets of 9's for my strat, Love the way they feel and sound. Not too bright or too dark sounding, just adjust your amp's tone controls to your liking (I decreased the bass a couple notches). Will be trying the 10's on the Les Paul and see if the results are similar.

I was tired of my old Ernie Ball strings breaking, so after a little research, I decided to go with the Dean Markley Blue Steels. I have been using these strings for a few years now with no issues and a great tone.

I used these years ago and am trying them again. I plan in using them on my main guitar. They have always brought me a nice clean and bright sound.

Good strings . . . I use these on solid and hollow bodied guitars. Playing style is light to medium, mostly for studio work. Tone / tuning lasts a long time.
