been trying various brands of strings for 10 years now. DR, D'Addario, GHS Carvin, everly, etc. recently settled on Ernie Ball since the sound is better than the others that ive tried but they have way too much treble and wonky mids. this is even more pronounced the newer the strings are and doesnt really go away even when the strings are near the end of their life. Finally decided to try a set of Blue Steels after a talking to a local music store. These are the way to go if you want a very balanced sound. bass was present but not overly so, mids were strident but not wonky sounding and treble was subdued somewhat but very sweet. they last forever. i play for about 6 hours a week and they last about 1-2 months. Ive never heard my ibanez SZ sound so beautiful. if youve been searching for

I've used these strings for over 20 years and now they do not have the same qualities I liked about them from when I first started using them. At first they sounded good for a long time and lasted (without breaking) a long time too. The newest batch I got all seem to break way too easily on strings 1, 2, and 3. Yes, they still sound good, but something has changed and now I find myself in search of another string.

I've used these for over twenty years and have never had any reason to change. I've tried plenty of other brands but have never been as satisfied with them as I am with these.

my favorite strings, I use them all the time. I have tried other brands and none last as long or sound as good for as long.. they stay in tune great, too.

By far the best I've ever used

Comments about Dean Markley 2552 Blue Steel Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been playing Blue Steels for over 15 years now, and every time I restring with something else, I find that I'm disappointed. These strings have crystal clear tone and last 2-3 times as long as other strings for me. They play like butter. I highly recommend them.

        On the comeback road

Comments about Dean Markley 2552 Blue Steel Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Used these forever. There is no other string like this. They are the crispest strings you can ever put on your guitar. I'm on the comeback road to playing & have gone through tones of other brand strings & none of them have made me happy.

Good strings . . . I use these on solid and hollow bodied guitars. Playing style is light to medium, mostly for studio work. Tone / tuning lasts a long time.

Comments about Dean Markley 2552 Blue Steel Light Electric Guitar Strings:

The best sounding strings I've used so far. They sound much better than Super Slinkies.. much more tone. And they seem to last almost twice as long with my sweaty acidic fingers. They also seem to bend just as well as super slinkies. However, I gave them a 4 for features because if you cut the ball off for a floyd style bridge the wound string can come unwound. So, I just string them backwards.. however there is around 3 inches of unwound you still have to cut off which makes the strings a little shorter.. but there is still enough there.
