For a hell of a good sound, try Misfits Skullbusters.

    Gauges 11-13-17-28-38-48.

"Dean's strings hold up and maintain their original intensity through the severe beating we give them, far better than any others we've played. Overall we like to use just a little bigger gauges. That way we get a tighter, fatter sound."

"We don't want to put extra tension on the neck that it doesn't need. Our approach is . . . bigger string, louder and a heavier sound. That's what we're about."

"We exclusively use Dean Markley strings on a custom Misfits Annihilator guitar that we designed and built ourselves. It goes through a bass amp head because it goes to a level of 90. It's got more power and gives a lot more bottom end--which helps define our sound . . . especially live."

    kicking strings

Comments about Dean Markley 8802 Misfits Skullbusters Electric Guitar Strings Low Tune:

These strings sound great I put them on my jay turser les paul and what a difference, unplugged they sounded nice and loud the loudest I ever heard on a unplugged soild body. I tune to drop d and the tension is perfect not too tight or to loose. I was using daddario and they snaped the first time I tuned them, if the skullbuster last as long as a set of ernie balls I'm putting skullbusters on all my guitars, so far these are the best string I've used it 6 years of playing (I've used ghs ernie balls daddario gibsons and standard dean markleys)

Comments about Dean Markley 8802 Misfits Skullbusters Electric Guitar Strings Low Tune:

I started out using Blue Steel, but decided that I wanted to try something a little different. I never had any problems with Dean Markley strings like I did with my previous ones. I really dig in and need something that can hold up and give me a full tone. These strings do just that. Plus I get a neat sticker with them.

    Teenagers from Mars

Comments about Dean Markley 8802 Misfits Skullbusters Electric Guitar Strings Low Tune:

Great strings for drop tuning. I use a 2001 Gibson SG special and these are the only strings I've ever played on that guitar that stay in tune. They tend to get dirty easily, but I sometimes forget to wash my hands before I play.

    BUSTIN' SKULLS

Comments about Dean Markley 8802 Misfits Skullbusters Electric Guitar Strings Low Tune:

These strings are the toughest and most durable strings I have used since i started playing guitar. I usually tune down one and a half steps to C# and these strings are optimal for usage. Highly recommended for guitarists who use down tuning methods. And for the price who could ask for more.

Im a Huge Misfits Fan and My Slinkey's weren't doing it for me on my B.C Rich...I decided to pick up a set of the Skullbusters...the second you play theirs no buzzing or anything...they usually keep in tune really good and they dont wear out easily...i had one set on for 4 months and they still felt new most of the time. The sets are only 4 bucks too so you cant go wrong if your playing metal or punk.

    AWSOME!!

Comments about Dean Markley 8802 Misfits Skullbusters Electric Guitar Strings Low Tune:

I use to use the Purple Heavy Gauge Ernie Balls, and when I first got these I thought I wouldn't like them because strings 4, 5, and 6 are really heavy and it said strings 1, 2, and 3 weren't made for solos. Once I started to use them solos sounded nice and rich and 4 5 6 sounded better than I ever amagined. BUY THESE!!$$!!$$!!
