This is a pretty good little pickup. I am glad I made this purchase. It's a good quality, though it may scratch your guitar depending on how careful you are, but that's what these soundhole pickups do. I'm planning on drilling out the bottom end just a bit where the peg is, running the wire through the body of my guitar, and putting a female end pin jack on the wire. It would be permanent, but it's not an ugly pickup, and it doesn't ruin the resonating properties of my Morgan Monroe's top. The strings are not to flexible and quiet and soft. They are medium quality to me because they could cause the head or neck of lesser guitars to snap. I have yet to plug this pickup into a nice system, but I did click it into a little amp here on base. So I'm not sure of it's true sound quality.

Had one for years.Decided to try it in a Gibson B45-12 as adjustable bridges make pickup selection difficult.Couldn't have been more surprised.Sounded great,well balanced,powerful,needed no pre-amp directly into mixer.Put it in my other B45 with same results.Bought another,modified both cables for semi-permanent mounting and am living happily ever after.Been a road musician for 45 years,tried every pickup made.The best is miking up but second place,at least for these guitars,is this lash-up.I carry an extra one for "those emergencies"and find that they are adequate in other six strings; they really shine in guitars that tend to be less "bassy".They can "loosen up" over time but if you semi-remove them before storage they tighten right up and stay put.Would recommend trying one,at the price you can't go wrong,even as a spare

A great deal , I have a 67 Gibson LGO and didnt want to alter the guitar and this works nicely to play out of an amp and the bonus strings , better than you will do on ebay !

I went out and bought this pick up today and stuck it in my guitar, It worked fine for about 20 min, then it started cutting out. I couldn't get it to get it to stay on, which is wiered since it doesn't have an on/off switch. I'm taking it out and back to the store. Do not buy this pick up. Also It DOES NOT SOUND WELL WITH A TWELVE STRING GUITAR

I purchased this through a local music store.. great buy for the money although i wish I had checked here first ( I paid 85.00), it serves my needs and when mixed with the strawberry blonde acoustic electric amp it sound spectacular... My biggest complaint is that all sound adjustments need to be made from the amp, which is okay when you are sitting next to the amp but a bit of a pain on stage.. Great for an inexpensive pickup would definately buy again

I bought this pick-up about a year ago I like it, I use it with my martin d-15, I think it reproduces the sound well, very very little white noise, I have had no feedback problems with it at all, I also use a mixer to make it even quieter. I play traditional style country, and folk music. I believe it to be a good value for what you can do with it.

I found this product to be much less than acceptable and I sent it back! If you are looking for acoustic-electric sound just go ahead and buy an acoustic-electric guitar.
