I use this pickup, with a GE-7 EQ. and the Compressor CS-3; both from Boss stompboxes, Thats all I need, to make sound relly nice my guitar. a J-45, from Gibson, Only with the GE-7, EQ, sounds good, but the compressor help me with the level and the EQ, for gain and tone. You can used a chorus for more color. Is a good pickup, I'been used, for 3 years.

I've owned this pickup for several years now and the first and most important thing you need to know is that it sounds good. Better than other pickups that cost more. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because it's a passive pickup. So without a preamp, you need to set the levels pretty high on your amp.
I'm a lefty player and I was looking for a soundhole pickup for my Fender acoustic. I wanted one that wasn't permanent that I could just install on the fly. I tried one of these and I really like it. The only thing to remember for lefties is that when you install the pickup up toward the neck like a righty player, you have to adjust the pole pieces to re-balance the sound of each string. It's worth the trouble. Plus I've also been able to leave it in along with my Sound Waves Soundhole Humidifier when I put it in the case. I also like the way it sounds, BTW. It could be a little cheaper, though. That's why I didn't give it all fives. Try it.
