Had this strap for the better part of 2 years now and I love it. First guitar I used with it was a Squier Strat. The buttons on that guitar are pretty small so it did slip out a few times. The main problem is when the ends are flipped around when you put it on, the weight of the guitar will pull it out of the strap.Current guitar is a Paul Reed Smith. This strap is perfect for it. The PRS has very large buttons so it's a little difficult to get straps with small holes over the buttons. This strap has pretty long slits cut so it slips on and off no problem. Didn't like it as much with the Strat.I'd say if you have small buttons give it some thought but if you have larger buttons, go for it now. Can't beat it.

so yea..i bought the checkered dickie's strap at my local music store. it was cheap, which was good for me, because im almost always broke. i used this on my sg with schaller strap locks. my band has a lot of stage presence, so we act like idiots playing a show. while i was playing, i put my guitar up next to my head (looking like i was going to swing it, but i dont trust myself), and when i came back down, the guitar would have fallen to the ground if i wasnt holding onto it. i thought something went wrong with the strap locks...when i looked down, the freakin strap had broken. it wasnt where the "leather" part was, but it was right in the middle of the strap. horrible strap. save up and buy a dimarzio clip strap.

Surprisingly Awesome

I bought a Dickies strap a year ago because I like Dickies work clothes, plus it had a wicked gray flame design that perfectly matched my Jackson dinky. It was very thin and smooth so I thought it would slide a lot then ultimately snap in half, but it's extremely comfortable and after a year of daily use it's still in as good of shape as when I first opened the package! I just got a black one for my new Schecter Damien and it's twice as thick and not as smooth. That just makes it twice as durable and controllable. Two big thumbs up to Dickies. I trust their products when I'm at work and when I play!

Good Strap...

I don't know about what everybody else said, but I must have had a crappy strap before this one. I love this strap. It stays in place, the buckle-thingy. The leather part is very sturdy, even though I have a Strap Lock. Good Product.

Not so bad.

Contrary to what it seems a lot of people are saying about this strap, it's pretty good.I've had it for two, almost three years. Never had a problem with it. The only time it will come off is if the strap is twisted before you put it on. Other than that, it's fine by me.I have the red one. Get it if you're low on budget and looking for a nice little strap.

I bought this for my les paul and after a few uses it drops my guitar everytime I put it on.It seems like the holes that go around the strap holders wore out and got too big or something. dont buy it.

Dickies Strap

This isn't a very good strap. The canvas is heavy duty, but the leather (or whatever they are) ends are cheap, and the holes for the strap buttons are way too big. You can buy this strap, if you want you guitar to fall and die. If you get this, you should definately invest in some schaller strap locks. But by that point, you would be better off with a DiMarzio Cliplok, which is what I use and will never stop using. Overall, this strap sucks and I am dissapointed with dickies.

Excellent Strap

I bought this strap the other day for a new guitar I recently bought because my previous strap was pretty old and not in the best shape, it was cheap to begin with. This strap is great. You can tell as soon as you get it it's really strong. Its got plenty of room to adjust for your taste and it will work on any guitar. I use it for all 3 of mine. This is a great strap, and with a price like this you can't get a better deal. I really reccommend it.
