DISSAPOINTED

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

I rarely write reviews for items but I just had to warn people of this poorly made product. I bought this FOUR months ago and it has already died on me.I read the negative comments on here before purchasing and decided to get the protection plan.SO they are going to send me a gift card with the money I paid for it. If you really need this, buy the protection plan!!!

PS mars otherwise great product

By Jay-v_F5L

from Fort Worth, TX

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

My PS lasted a little over a year before failing in what seems to be a typical way: low-voltage wire gets intermittent open where it attaches to transformer. Also, the thing gets hot even when the GNX is off (no load), which tells me it's a very low-quality transformer inside the plastic housing. The GNX4 is great; it's a shame they delivered it with this lame PS. I'd pay for a really good PS, but not for another one of these. Am looking elsewhere.

Build your own!!

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

When mine stopped working and I saw the replacement cost, no way! Found a transformer for about $10 (if my memory serves me right) that puts out 9V (actually 18V Center Tapped) and is rated for 3 Amps out current. Been happy ever since 'cause I absolutely love my GNX4

Piece of junk

Ask me a question

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

After I had my GNX2 for a year, it started randomly changing my settings while I was playing, and then it would shut down. I though I fried it, so I threw it under my bed and that was that. Later when I went off to college I though I'd bring it with for whatever reason, and after fidgeting with the cable, realized that the unit itself was fine. So, I ended up paying the 40 bucks. I'm annoyed that the power supply is nearly a quarter the cost of the unit, and yet it's such a piece of crap. Well, I'm going to put my GNX2 on a pedal board with the rest of my stomp boxes and then I don't think I'll have any more issues because I will never unplug it anymore.

Too bad

By Natxo

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

Well, I own the GNX 2 and I bought the power supplier for the 2nd time in a row. Is it too much to ask for ir we can use it with simple AA batteries? The worst of all, is that my GNX keeps shuting down when I play live (thanks to the power supply). Too bad Digitech.

Not Likin' It

By Soldier4Christ

from Heidelberg, Germany

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

I just hit the 'add to cart' button for my third power adpater in less than 2 years for my GNX3. This is the last time. The pedal has a 2.1 amp draw, and I suspect what is actually required is an adapter rated at 2.4 amps or better. The pack gets sersiously hot, so I knew right away that these things would fry too quickly. And they do.

GNX4- Thumbs up; the power supply - thumbs down

By GNX4 Owner

from Concord, CA

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

I've owned my GNX4 for a couple of years, and I use it quite a bit. I pack it up once a week for gigs and or rehearsal. So basically, after I unplugged/plugged it in 104 times, it failed. Pretty bad failure rate. Considering how well made the GNX4 is, it's disappointing that the power supply is so cheesy. The low voltage line shorts out where it connects to the power supply. If Digitech wants word of mouth compliments about it's product, it'll have to shore up this part of its product.

Bad Price for Faulty Equipment

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

Well probably 95% of the people who need buy this product have either lost the plug completely or having it cr*p out on you part of the way through its life... like my plug, which regular usage has worn the plug ends through at the base of the converter. The fact that I need to dish out a new $40 for something that electrical engineers have been creating since the start of last century is, frankly, a little ballsey on Digitech's part... Which slightly ensures that getting a new board from Digitech will probably not be in the cards...

Lame

By Lundquist

from Munising, MI

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

I give DigiTech credit for making a cable that actually reaches where you need it to go. But I've had this product for a couple of years now and it's already shot! Usually I wouldn't care, but for the price they ask I would rather just get a different peddle than buy power chords all of the time!

planned obsolescence

By Steve Davis

from York, PA

Comments about DigiTech Power Supply for GNX2:

DigiTech can and should do better than this. This flimsy power supply has not been engineered to last. Why don't these units come with a simple power cord?
