I own 5 Clip lock Leather straps. 3 of the older deluxe Leather straps 1 of the newer Deluxe Leather straps and 1 Luxury Leather straps. I use them on all of my guitars. I have been using them for over 10 years and I have never had an issue with a strap letting go of my guitar. For those of you who think the plastic parts are the week link, think again. You will pull the screws out of the guitar long before the plastic lock will break. Dimarzio's add use to have a man swinging from a strap lock system. The plastic is more of a nylon type of plastic that is soft and hard to break. The leather on the new style strap is thicker and harder then the old Deluxe Leather strap. The old style is similar to the Luxury Leather strap without the foam filler. You can purchase extra nylon ends to put on additional guitars. Dimarzio missed the boat here. They should sell additional leather ends and a wider version for the LPs and Basses. I'd buy them in a heart beat. This is a great strap but for the ultimate strap get the Luxury Leather strap. Its as soft as a baby's bottom.

NO better strap on the market

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

I have used Dimarzio cliplock straps for over 14 years and NEVER had a problem. I have one strap that has been on one of my guitars for 10 years now and it still works just perfect. You will NEVER have a problem with the clips. The cool thing also is how fast they snap on and off and are interchangeable so you can have a wireless belt pack on one strap and just keep the strap and change out guitars all night long at a show.

The BEST Straplock system there is

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

I've owned 3 of these straps. I bought all 3 at the same time 2 1/2 years ago, playing out consistently at least 2 or 3 times a month for most of those 2 years.. I've NEVER had a problem with the plastic snaps, at all. While I agree that at some point they will possibly break, I don't forsee that problem coming anytime soon. The plastic is really rigid and durable, and has put up with a LOT of snapping in and out over these last 2 1/2 years. Do yourself a favor and just buy it allready!!

There is simply no better strap on the market in my opinion. Well made and solid as a rock. The search is over. I own 3 of these, and I plan to buy a couple more.

This strap gets the job done. Installation was a cinch, and it's quite sturdy. This is an excellent replacement for buying straplocks, and having one of these for each guitar makes switching guitars super easy.

        Great value

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

I've been using these straps for almost 15 years with Zero reliability issues. I own 8 guitars and all have them. The other guitar player in my band has the other kind of strap lock and I have seen him have issues with them. I'm not gonna say a lot but he's had several over the past few years. I have had Zero problems with these. Ignore the other review, he doesn't even own the product.

        i need one!

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

The two guitarists use these for the guitars. We are one of those bands that loves to throw our instruments around and from what I can remember, not once have these straps failed to do their duty. The only reason why I do not have one is because I got a Surelock (which does the job fine) But I'm definitely getting at least one of these straps in the future.

Plastic is not a good weak link

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

A chain is as strong as its' weakest link.Dimarzio has a fabulous idea with their straploc technology- but they chose a crappy material to execute it with. This plastic that snaps in to the lock part is the weakest link and it WILL BREAK at some point, when you least expect it to- potentially causing hundreds of dollars of damage. As such- I can recommend this product- but review the strength of the plastic parts regularly for wear and tear- you will be swapping this out again in a year or three because it will break.

Comments about DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe Italian Leather Strap:

I own two of these, they're the only straps I'll ever use on both my extremely high end PRS's. The cliplock structure keeps it secure, and best of all, once worn in its very comfy I own the older version, and the newer updated version. honestly, though the newer version looks cooler with its silver logo rather than stamped logo, I much prefer my old worn in leather cliplock. best of all, makes switching guitars a snap, and no need to worry. some would say the plastic doesn't hold up, but I disagree. the plastic ends hold well, my old one I had for 4 years, no issues, and if I ever did I can just buy a replacement and put it on again in a snap. some want metal fastners, but I wouldn't. metal clips would scratch the guitar's finish. The downside is the price. but to me its worth it.You can't go wrong.
