The nickel-plated buckle beautifully complements the Italian leather for a distinctively solid look. Can be used with either the buckle or rounded side forward. 2" wide strap is extra thick (5/32") and the bottom edges are rounded for extra comfort and embossed with the DiMarzio logo.
The Italian tanning process gives DiMarzio leather its exceptionally rich color and texture. Additionally, the skins are tumbled for a supple, broken-in feel - like that old leather jacket you can't seem to throw away.

I purchased this strap four years ago from musiciansfriend.com and have been waiting to do a complete review of this strap. I'm blown away!
Durability: 10/10
-I have gigged two to four times per week every single week since I have purchased this strap, using it every time. It still looks prestine.
-The leather has worn in to hug my shoulder as every leather strap should. It looks new but feels worn. That said, everything is intact and has not worn out.
-The buckle is not broken.
-Even the silver embossed DiMarzio logo hasn't chipped out or anything. It looks great!
Quality: 10/10
-I believe that you will get your money's worth if you purchase this strap. I know I have. If something were to happen to my current, I would absolutely buy another. You get more than you pay for, even if it is a little pricey.
-This thing looks great up close. Far away...it might look generic.
-Though bought in the recession of late '08, it's holding up superbly. Take that as you will.
Functionality: 9/10
-The "Large" length is just a little shorter than I would like it to be. It would be perfect if I had a shorter and narrower torso (I'm 6'4"); the guitar sits with its center at my waist. I like for the top of the guitar to sit at my waist. That's just personal preference though.
-I use Dunlop's Original StrapLoks. They were difficult to install on this strap because the hole was small. You have to work the StrapLok in there, but after that there is no trouble. However, it did fit other Fender and Gibson strap buttons easily.
-I had a hard time figuring out how to fit the strap in my 2000-something Fender molded American Strat case (not the big rectangular one). It doesn't roll up into a small reel, so I had to fold it in half and lay it beside the neck of the guitar. Without StrapLoks though, I would just lay it on the neck.
-Despite my personal obnioxious perfectionism, the DiMarzio leather strap is EXTREMELY comfortable. It's never ever left a mark on my neck or shoulder, albeit I've never played it shirtless. Also, the metal buckle has never scratched or marred my guitar.
-The strap is only adjustable by a few holes. The buckle functions as it should.
If you want a strap that has high-quality performance and durability, this is the one for you.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this strap. It's the most comfortable strap I've ever worn. I'm a real fuss budget about straps. The leather is amazing quality. Very smooth and supple. And very strong too. Also, I love the width, not too wide, not too thin. It feels just perfect on my shoulder. I love the buckle adjustment. If needed, I can always add a hole for a more perfect fit. This is just a really great strap. Try it. You'll love it too. I bought a second one I love it so much.

I got mine yesterday and I give it two thumbs up! It is definitely worth the money (a little on the high end) but worth it if you like quality leather. The buckle also gives it a distinctive, understated presence to it. It is on the short side so use your best judgement. I use a string attached to the headstock of my Martin. So, I do not have a problem. If you love leather this is the one for you!

I never believed I would spend so much on a strap, but this was worth every penny. I liked it so much I bought another. The leather is 1/4" THICK and really high quality. Just make sure you get the largest size if you play slung low, they seem to run a bit small. One of the best musical purchases I have made in 20 years of playing, and worth every cent.
