The DiMarzio DP318 Super Distortion T Tele Humbucker Pickup offers the performance of the famous Super Distortion in humbucking Tele bridge direct replacement-size pickups.
Built-in is the same blend of power and tone that made the original Super Distortion the worldwide standard for high-output humbuckers. DiMarzio also tweaked the sound to take into account the fact that the Super Distortion T will be installed in the classic slanted bridge position.
Like the full-size version, the Super Distortion T has 4 conductor wiring for parallel humbucking and split-coil modes.

i love this one! i needed something to really push my tele into overdrive and not sound super cheap. this thing really holds it's own weight and isn't to shabby on the eye. cut that garbage stock telecaster pickup out and put this one it! you won't regret it.

I had previously played guitars with active pick ups, typically with EMG 81/85 set ups, but i wanted to try out a Telecaster because I had heard about the great playability. After buying the tele, I fell in love with it, but needed something to tighten up the low end, give it a hotter output, and roll off the highs a bit smoother. The Distortion T did just that! I have a lot more punch and clarity in the low end, and while they retain quite a bit of the tele twang, they smooth it out enough to play with a higher gain and not be offensive. If you want something to keep a true telecaster sound through and through... This is not the pick up for you. But if you want to play a Telecaster and add some extra punch and clarity.. you will not be disappointed with this pick up.
