Comments about DiMarzio DP700 Blaze 7-String Neck Pickup:
I added this pickup to my ARZ307 with the hope of getting a better clean tone. I had already added the bridge blaze and like it, but it was not a huge change from the stock Axis pickup. The bridge Blaze is a different story. Compared to the Axis Neck pickup, its way brighter and more bell like, which is what i was looking for. When i first fired up the amp, i was surprised to hear a more strat like clean tone coming from my ibanez seven string. Conversely, its more useable for distorted rhythm playing than my the Axis pickup. Very satisfied with this pickup and with the blaze bridge I feel i have a very versatile guitar at this point that sounds great! nice chug and clarity in the bridge, and bell like cleans in the neck. I also dig the look - flat black with chrome posts. I give it a 9 as theres always something better out there - but i wont need to look for awhile with this pickup.

no complaints for quality. came shipped with all the necessary hardware and then some. even included an allen wrench for the posts. Wiring was shielded and sturdy, with plenty of length. The sound quality is great - more on that later. No feedback issues,
I'm happy with the price I paid for this pickup. the overall sound and quality can match other more expensive pickups - at this point its about preference.
Comments about DiMarzio DP700 Blaze 7-String Neck Pickup:
This is the best 7 string neck pickup with ease IMO. You can hear an excellent demonstration of it on Vai's "For the Love of God", which also demos the Blaze Bridge. The neck pup is very smooth and has a huge sonic signature. I have played some neck pups that are overly focused in one frequency range, the Blaze is broad and clear. Very thick and rich yet clean for sweeps and fast playing.
