Comments about DiMarzio Red Velvet Pickup:
I have a mid 80's Aria Pro and the stock pickups were o.k. but I just wanted more umph. I decided to give these a try in the bridge position to try it out and if I liked then I would go from there. I almost bought the Seymour SSL5 because i've used those for years but tryed this instead. It is definelty better than stock and had good pick attack sound. It plays along with you. Not quite as beefy as the SSL-5 custom staggered but very nice sound. Not an extreme output either 8.5K but a very good pickup. I'm probably going to move this to the neck position though and add a Antiquity Texas Hot in the bridge and an Antiquity Surf rwrp in the middle.
