This stand is worth every penny! I've been performing live with this stand for more than 5 years now and it still works perfectly. Most boom stands wear out at their pivot point over time and can't support the boom... these DR Pro stands hold strong. The adjustments at the telescoping boom and legs still tighten correctly and have never let me down.
The stand just proportionally makes sense; the legs are long enough to support a boom of this length and even though it may weigh a little more than your average stand, that helps counter the weight of a mic when the boom is fully extended.
I just ordered several more of these to add to my fleet of mic stands. Now I can finally throw out my rigged back up stands that have been assembled from the remains of sixteen different nineteen dolla boom stands...

Not sure why this microphone stand is getting so many high marks. The stand is made in Korea and you can tell. Many of the adjusters seem cheaply made and when fully extended with my recording microphone on it slowly sags. I was really surprised when I received it that the quality of this stand was not higher.

Comments about DR Pro Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

Excellent quality mic stand. I use it mainly as a mic stand with the boom for singing when I play the keyboard. Very sturdy and the hardware just feels solid. I've bought some cheaper stands in the past and I think it's well worth the extra money to buy something like this stand. Highly recommended.

Comments about DR Pro Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

ALL IS EXCELLENT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CLUTCH
BUT I JUST TIGHTENED IT TILL IT QUIT LETTING THE MIKE DROOP. WIRED MIKE WOULD PROBABLY NOT HAVE THE WEIGHT TO CAUSE THE DROOP.

This is a well built stand that can hold up on the road. I had one that eventually fell apart after fives years of live applications. It's not too bulky or heavy like some some stands and keeps a firm grip on the mic...

Comments about DR Pro Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

My last music stand was used for 15 years. It was time for a new one. I am rough on hardware. The DR stand appears heavy duty and well built. It has clips for securing the microphone cable as well. I've not had an opportunity to use it, but I will update the review after I have had some real experience with the product.

I am very happy with this purchase.

Cheap stands don't get it done and high end stands cost way too much for me. I consider this stand to be in the sweet spot, providing excellent quality and performance at a reasonable price.

Comments about DR Pro Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

These are heavy duty stands that very well made. The hardware is nice quality. There not cheap, but I think they are as good as stands that cost much more. I bought 4 cheap stands a while back and 1 Low Profile DR Pro Boom Stand. The DR Pro stand cost more than all 4 of the other stands combined but I needed a heavy stand to mic my guitar amp. After 6 months of use I am replacing the cheap stands. I found that they are just too light weight and are cheaply made. They were constantly getting knocked over and are cumbersome to adjust. I may pay 3-4 times more money for better quality stands (which are a lot more expensive) but they don't get knocked over and damage my expensive microphones. At the end of the day that means a lot. I learnt that I could pay more up front or pay much more afterwards. I plan on buying 8-10 more DR Pro Stands as I can afford it.
