DR Strings

Drop-down tuning bass guitar strings that go right into tune and lock in.

The first thing you notice with DR Drop-Down Tuning Bass strings is how stable they are. DDT strings maintain their intonation at lower tunings far better than other strings you may have played or heard. Players say these bass strings are so stable it is almost eerie.

Now you can "stand and deliver" in-tune notes at lower pitches that are clean and clear—plus you can drop tune with confidence and accuracy. You'll be surprised how few adjustments you'll make to change tunings and will be even more surprised how well DR Drop-Down Tuning strings lock into tune. DR

Experienced players comment: "Tuned down, I was never able to play a favorite riff. It always came out muddy and garbled. Now it is crystal clear. I am going to record it and give it to my bandmates, who could not hear it before."

DR DDT strings deliver far more than just heavy gauges—they deliver impeccable bass tone.

Medium gauges: 45-65-85-105.

    Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Bass Strings:

    Playing in Drop D, these strings hold their tone and sound tight. Not floppy at all.
    Compared to some other brands, they feel a little bit rough on the fingers. Hopefully they won't chew up my frets over time.

    Best strings ever

    By Tommy Finney

    Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Bass Strings:

    I had heard good things about the DDT strings so I decided to try them. We tune down to Eb so some strings get a little sloppy. These strings are great.. The tone is as good as the DR hi beams, they're tight but bend easily and they stay in tune even when I beat the daylights out of them. I had to make minor adjustments to the truss rod and bridge to compensate for the .005" larger diameter and difference in tension from the old strings, but that is normal when you go to a different string. I'd recommend these strings to any bass player that drop tunes. These are the best strings I've ever used. I have since put DDT's on my other basses and couldn't be happier with them.

    DDT = Drop Dead Terrific

    Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Bass Strings:

    I use these on my 4 string J-Bass in either Standard or Drop D tuning. In standard tuning they are pretty tight which I like and even down in Drop D they are just as tight. I've gone down to Drop C before they got too floppy for my liking but of course these are only mediums. I love the tone I get with them. Very bright but also plenty of low end. The tone I am getting is very Rise Against if I turn up a little tube gain on my amp and if I back it down and dial the mids back I get a flawless Blink-182 Mark Hoppus tone.
    They are bass strings, not much to offer feature wise BUT they do as they say and they hold amazingly well in drop tunings.
    My new go to string. I've had these on my J-Bass for about 2 weeks now and they sound just as good as the day I bought them.
    They are bass strings, so they are a tad hard on the wallet. They last so long and sound good so I consider it money well spent.
