OVERVIEW

Drop-down tuning guitar strings that go right into tune and lock in.

The first thing you notice with DR Drop-Down Tuning Guitar strings is how stable they are. DDT strings maintain their intonation at lower tunings far better than other strings you may have played or heard. Players say DR DDT guitar strings are so stable it is almost eerie.

Now you can "stand and deliver" in-tune notes at lower pitches that are clean and clear-plus you can drop tune with confidence and accuracy. You'll be surprised how few adjustments you'll make to change tunings and will be even more surprised how well DR Drop-Down Tuning strings lock into tune.

Experienced players comment: "Tuned down, I was never able to play a favorite riff. It always came out muddy and garbled. Now it is crystal clear. I am going to record it and give it to my bandmates, who could not hear it before."

DR DDT strings deliver far more than just heavy gauges-they deliver impeccable tone.

Medium gauges: 10-13-17-26-36-46.

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

I was very pleased… The John five telecaster took done very well and locked in tune almost immediately after stretching of course. These particular strings are little Dan for my taste, but I like thicker strings anyway. I have ordered the next size up. In my opinion you don't go wrong with these, lock into tune no flat sound, the tone is excellent buy them.

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

These DDR DT mediums tuned down to C standard on my 24.75" scale guitar and feel no different than EB Slinkys in Drop D. The tension was only barely higher than Dunlop Rev. Willy 7s in E standard (actually less floppy on the "G" and "B" strings - which are "Bb" and "G" in C standard).

The tone of these strings sounds much richer in C standard and C# standard tunings compared to when they're in E standard (maybe I needed to let the guitar relax?). Very bright and chimy down low and not so much with tension (in comparison, the EB Slinkys sound dynamite in E standard).

Just add a gingerly squeeze from the teeth of some needlenose pliers on the string between the tuning peg and nut if needed and tune your guitar down to frequencies only elephants hear.

      Low tuning without HUGE STRINGS

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

Great for Low tunings,Intonation is dead on and they sound tight,no more Flubby sounding notes or GIANT SIZED 13 gauge strings that arent very good for your neck or Bridge system. I like the feel of 10 s and with the DR Drop Down Medium Strings i can play C Tuning Comfortably without Hassle,THESE ARE A MUST HAVE !!!

      Interesting...

      By Strizzwald

      from Stuart, FL

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

These strings work pretty much as advertised. They let you tune absurdly low without sacrificing note clarity or integrity... not perfectly, but reasonably. They also stay in tune remarkably well with little to no breaking-in.Regular DR 10's can handle my guitar tuned down 1 1/2 steps with no problems, but anything beyond that is flub territory and intonation is out by as much as a full half-step. With the DDT 10's, I can go 3 steps down and they still sound tight. If you check with a tuner, the intonation isn't quite right, but the difference is negligible to the naked ear. It's hard to break a DDT string. They are noticeably tougher than your average set of 10's. The feel is quite nice at 1 steps and lower though. They're surprisingly easy on the fingers. You don't have to pick hard to get heavy attack. They just exude brutal tone.Their quality stands true to the DR name. Definitely worth a try if you plan on experimenting with extremely low tunings. They can make your 6-string sound like a 7-string... only it'll still feel like a 6-string!

      Best Strings I've Ever Played

      By passthefetus

      from Denver, CO

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

I play in two different professional bands, one a heavily doom influenced Black Metal band and the other a straight up Stoner Doom band. So I expect a lot from a string that says its designed for drop tuning, and these far exceeded my expectations. The intonation and response is stellar and you don't have to rock 12s or some other unyielding gauge so they shred like normal strings. I just hope these are made for a long time.

      Excellent strings

      By AbsintheRR1

      from Floyds Knobs, Indiana

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

These strings really do hold tuning and proper intonation better then any set I've ever used. I'm using the 10-46 set for E flat tuning. They really sound incredible. The tension of them is a bit tighter then the Tite Fits and Hi-Beams of the same gauge. I welcome this though for my style of playing. I hope they make these for quite a while because I can't see using anything else.

      A Better Ernie Ball!!

      By ESP_fanatic

      from Ashburn, GA

Comments about DR Strings Drop-Down Tuning Medium Guitar Strings:

I've heard that these strings are amazing. I've heard that the Mega Heavy ones are amazing, but i don't know about these. I play extremely hard, so I would know. I had Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings and I was playing really hard and the very top string just broke. If you play metal like me and play extremely hard, these strings are for you. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
