OVERVIEW

Stainless steel bass strings on a hex core for bright high end and great depth.

Lo-Rider stainless steel bass strings from DR are roundwound and constructed upon a hexagonal core. They provide more depth of tone and are a bit stiffer than Hi-Beams. Bass players who are into slapping, popping, and tapping will love the high end and depth of Lo-Riders. The slight bit of stiffness makes these strings very accurate when playing harmonics. Great consistency and great string-to-string balance are DR hallmarks. Fits bass scale lengths up to 37-3/4".

Gauges 45-65-80-100.

These strings RULE!

By Skibby101

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

My strings just arrived today and when I put these on my Warwick, they sounded awesome! First of all the Tapping is so smooth, its like a dream. Slapping is just the same, it has a real nice *PING*. I tried it in standard tuning and it was GREAT, but I usually play an CGCF. Which is the greatest sound. I have tried Elixer, Warwick, and Ernie Ball strings. None of them had what i was looking for. I think i finally found what i've been looking for. Your missing out big time if you dont get these strings. The only reason why i didnt put 10 for everything is because i've never tried every string, so i wouldnt know for sure. But i think i'm gonna stick with these since they have everything i'm looking for.

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

These strings are tight. If you like to funk it, they hold up better than most. Not the best strings, but definitely the most bang for the buck.

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

These strings are absolutely awesome. My bass teacher is endorsed by DR, so when I was going to get new ones I went for the DR. Being an avid Tool fan, I immediately went to drop D, and holy h*** was it AWESOME!! When I played right at the bridge, my Squier was almost like a synthesizer. GET THESE STRINGS!!!

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

I put a set on my cheap 300 dollar yamaha bass and it made it sound like a different instrument.Great punch and character, and they last quite a long time without fading.

Bright Sound?

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

These are great strings, no doubt. I played them for about a year on my Schecter Stiletto 5 string. I really liked them and they last a long time, but I think some of the other reviews are misleading about their sound. From what I understand, DR strings are supposed to be dark sounding. Its not that they don't have a twang, but these are not bright sounding strings. IF you want to play metal, get these strings for that crisp dark heavy metal sound.

Best strings

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

These are the best strings I have ever had the pleasure of using. Get absolutely no rattle, and they will last forever (friend of mine has had the same set for 2 years). Great for tuning down. I can get down to B and have them still sound good, drop C is perfect.

Comments about DR Strings Lo Rider MLH-45 Medium Lite Stainless Steel 4-String Bass Strings:

These are the greatest strings I've ever put on my bass. They're really bright, really comfortable, and sound amazing. I use DR exclusively. Why? Simple: They make the best strings, period. If you haven't picked up a set of DR, I highly recommend you do. They have strings to fit just about every style.
