I've been using these in medium for a couple of years now but switched to the light set recently. Both versions sound great and look awesome on my basses. They last me 4 or 5 months before the coating starts wearing off in the plucking area enough that I want to change them and they still sound good at that point. I play finger style only though so I'm not sure how long they would hold up if you play with a pick. I used a couple of other brand/styles of clear coated strings before these awesome neon colors came out. I know some people don't like any coated strings but if you do these will work for you. Although these stand out on their own even in the daytime, I use an 18" black light for gigs which really makes the strings light up. I get complements after every show with people saying how they really notice what I'm doing because of them. Definitely an attention getter. I've only used the pink ones but have a seen a few guys with the blue and green ones at clubs recently. They look great too, I'm just partial to pink.
