First of all, yes the red looks very very cool on my black Ibanez Acoustic / Electric. But I could not get these strings to stay in tune, even after an hour of stretching and retuning. They start going flat immediately after tuning them to pitch. They also sound muddy and thin, no life or sparkle. I've been playing and setting up my guitars for almost 30 years now and have never had a set of strings that wouldn't stay in tune after being properly installed and stretched for 5-10 minutes. I had a set of the same gauge Elixirs on the same guitar for months without issue. I had put on a set of the cheap Darco's that I install on my beater since I have a gig tomorrow night and can't risk having strings that will not stay in tune. The Darco's sounded better and stayed in tune after 5 minutes of breaking them in. I would not buy these strings again and wish I spent the twelve bucks on Elixirs.
