OVERVIEW

Nickel plated bass strings wound on round cores that are perfect for traditional as well as fretless players.

Sunbeams are roundwound nickel-plated bass strings with round-core constructon. These bass strings are perfect for traditional as well as fretless players wanting more brightness and warmth. Sunbeams feature the easily recognizable feel and flexibility of DR round-core construction with nickel warmth, softness of feel, and increased response to magnetic pickups due to the sensitive magnetic content (compared to stainless steel) of the nickel-plated wrap wire.

Sunbeams are another step forward on continuing a path for players who continually seek to upgrade their skills and tools to achieve great musical satisfaction. Sunbeams are the next generation of nickel-plated bass strings as they are wound upon round cores. Sunbeams are a step forward for the traditional player, as the advanced exponent of fretless bass, both of whom want brightness and warmth. Sunbeams feature the easily recognizable feel and flexibility of DR round core Construction, with nickel warmth, softness of feel, and increased response to magnetic pickups due to the sensitive magnetic content (compared to stainless steel) of the nickel-plated wrap wire.

Tony Franklin says "Sunbeams amaze me. I love them on my fretless."

Gives the punch of the Hi Beams an added warmth.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeams NMLR-45 Medium Light 4-String Bass Strings:

used the Hi Beams for years with my basses but tried these instead on a new Jazz copy. So much easier on the finger tips and gives the brightness of the rounds a warmth and slight mid range bump. I'm sold.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeams NMLR-45 Medium Light 4-String Bass Strings:

I got these strings based on friends recommendation, I put them on my Spector and they brought the bass to life. I plan on putting them all my basses from now on.

Comments about DR Strings Sunbeams NMLR-45 Medium Light 4-String Bass Strings:

I play a Schecter Stiletto Custom 4 through a Gallien Krueger 700rb amp.

I used highbeams for years and loved them. One day the local music store was out, and only had these. I have no idea how I played steel strings for so long.

Long life and great tone. Nickel sounds warmer and feels better under the fingers while preserving the highs. I don't plan on changing strings, ever.
