DR Strings

DR's most popular electric guitar string set.

Tite-Fit roundwound nickel-plated electric guitar strings are designed to be a great all-around string available in a wide range of gauges. Based on a round core, the construction techniques for the Tite-Fit electrics are very old. However, the core wire and wrap wire in DRs are the latest, most advanced and expensive metals available. Use Tite-Fit strings for flexibility, tone, and long life. These guitar strings sound great for rock, blues, heavy metal, and jazz.

Gauges 11-14-18-28-38-50.

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

Stay in tune amazingly well. Wonderful definition yet heavy tone. Put them on my Axl Badwater and it's like a totally different guitar now. I've used DRs for years on my basses and love them, not sure why I waited so long to use them on the 6 strings. 11s are a bit heavy for me for leads but that's my only little gripe.

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

i love DR strings. Great tone and never break on a well setup guitar.

I do not like 11s, but DRs are the best.
People keep recommending 11s for jags. Don't do it, unless you want it to feel like an acoustic. 11s are slow a bulky. However, DRs are great tone.

    DR

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

Like most musical equipment, string choice is very personal and everyone has their taste. I recommend finding the string that fits your style. I started using these strings and I won't buy anything else. I play a wide variety of music and have been in several bands and these are the strings I use. Once you slap these strings on you dont need to stretch them or constantly retune them. Every time I sit down to play I always check to make sure my guitar is in tune and I never end up adjusting the tuning. I even drop my guitar to drop D on a regular bases.

after trying trying diferent brands and gauges, i stoped my search when i got my hands on these. they are smooth, comfortible, easy to bend, they snap right in tune, they last for months on end and so does their tone. the price is incredible for these. your paying only 7 dollars for top noch professional strings. they could be 50 bucks a pack and i'd still use them. As long as their on my guitar, im a happy guy. thank you DR!

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

If I was endorsed by any string company and got my strings changed for me every day I'd use these because they're not overally bright when you first get them... right when you put them on the guitar they sound good. Physically they last long, but after 1-2 weeks the feeling of these strings on my fingers is just corroded black dirt icky icky. I love these strings sort of because the gauge of 11-50 is perfect and they sound good the first day.. but I'm really looking into another brand that offers 11-50's because lasting 2 weeks just isn't going to cut it... I loved the way my ernie balls felt but the gauge didn't end up working out... if you've got money to blow constantly buy a bunch of these... if not try something else, my next try will be dean markley blue steels

    Love Em

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

I first heard of DR Strings from Children Of Bodom and had previously played Ernie Balls, so i went to try them and instantly fell in love! They are perfect for Drop C and the tone is great, deep and heavy and not too bright. It was just what i was looking for. The only thing is that these are a bit light for me so im gonna move up to 12s or maybe 13s. Either way, if you play Metalcore, Melodic Death Metal or anything else of the sort, these strings will please you to no end. DR Rules!!!

1 day into having the strings.

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

So far so good. I play in drop C and my favorite gauge is 11-52 (d'addario has that gauge) but I really don't like d'addario's... to me they are too bright at the start, then dull quick... so i switched to ernie ball 10-52's and they weren't as bright and had a consistency to the tone over there life... but I break the ernie ball ones a lot I find. anyways 11-50 seems to be the perfect gauge for me in drop C so far. Now we just have to see how they hold up over the weeks and how the tone changes over the weeks!

These strings are great. They are grat for squeeling which I LOVE! They are also really tough. They've been smacked, picked hard, scraped, I even dropped my guitar and they did'nt even go out of tune. I love these strings.

    Great strings, great price too.

Comments about DR Strings Tite-Fit EH-11 Extra Heavy Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings:

I tried every brand under the sun: D'Addario, Ernie Ball, Dean Markley, GHS, Elixir, Dunlop, various house brands from local stores and more that I can't remember. The DR's are the best. They last forever, and feel and sound great, and are pretty cheap at $6 a pack, versus my 2nd preference of Elixirs at $12 a pack or so. 11-50 is a great gauge as well, it will handle anything from standard tuning to Db (1.5 steps down), after that I'd hit up the 12's.
