I'll just say it. . . I got these strings because I've been a huge Jeff Healey fan for most of my life. And the fact that I've always had good luck with DR strings sweetened the deal. Anyway, fantastic strings. I love the feel, the tone, and the gauges. I play in standard tuning, and I love the tension. These strings have some TONE. And they last. I just put a second set on my '57 reissue Strat after about seven months of daily play. You're definitely getting your money's worth with these strings.

I bought these just to experiment lower tunings. They are very durable (lasted me almost a year without maintainance, soo with proper maintainance they should last a lot. Also I didnt see rusting in the strings, just the first three strings)I like these strings better than D'addario's and Ernie Ball's. Overall, I'd recommend this strings alot, for everyone that plays Death metal to Jazz/Blues. Oh, I forgot to mention, I recommend you to tune it to C# or lower.

These things work beautifully if you utilize drop tunings a lot. i mainly have my guitar tuned to drop C/D Standard, and the tone you get from these things is great. Especially for hard rock/melodeath. i've had these things on for almost a month now, on a floyd rose equipped guitar...they WILL NOT snap when doing dives and pull ups. i STRONGLY recommend these for anyone willing to strengthen their fingers

These strings are the absolute best for D standard or Drop C. The bass side strings are ultra heavy guage for a nice, super thick tone, and the treble side is medium light, which is light to allow easy bends and tapping, and just thick enough to make fast alternate picking a breeze. The quality of them is phenominal- they have a great, loud, well rounded tone, and they feel so smooth and pliable. I have never broken a string, and I have gone through 10 sets without a single problem. I am a big guy, and I pick pretty hard- yet I have total confidence in these strings. The extra couple bucks is well worth it. You cant find a more extremely heavy bottom string set anywhere. Highly reccomended for downtuned metal guitar.
