I have two metal grip capos. Bought the Dunlop elastic model for my travel guitar, mostly to save money but also for nostalgic reasons. The capo grips well, isn't hard to move/secure and is thicker and more heavy duty than one I owned years back. It's a good buy and I'd buy another one.

Better than a pencil with a rubberband

It's not a 'G7' but it worked in the 60's and it works today!

Comments about Dunlop Elastic Heavy Single Capo:

Excellent product for the money. I have always used the elastic capo. It is smaller and doesn't get in the way like some of the other models. Provides good sound quality from the strings, holds taughtness. It's too bad the music stores in this area don't carry it anymore.

Comments about Dunlop Elastic Heavy Single Capo:

Good for use in situations where you do not need to make quick changes. Inexpensive but gets the job done. If you need the "latest and greatest" this is probably not for you but if your into basic function at an economical price it's a great capo.

Quck and easy repositioning while playing a song with several key changes. Also great for storing an extra guitar pick - just in case you drop the one you are using.

Well, this is the cheapest capo I could find. I don't use capo's very often but it's nice to have one in the case. It does the job just fine.

Comments about Dunlop Elastic Heavy Single Capo:

Well, as the lady in the music store said, "If it's good enough for the '60s, it's good enough for me." This capo works pretty well... the biggest pain is getting the elastic tight enough around the neck to eliminate any buzzing/muting... as a previous review pointed out, oftentimes buzzing can be eliminated by nudging it a bit. Other times, the strings get bent by the capo (especially if you're like me, wanting to cut corners and simply slide the capo down the neck instead of taking it off) and you have to take the whole thing off and redo it. NOT such a pain when you are practicing. I will say, however, that this capo's higher "inconvenience factor" has driven me to the habit of simply transposing my music and actually learning the instrument and practicing the harder stuff than just relying on a capo. This might be the biggest benefit of all of Dunlop's elastic capo. Oh, also, people are right about the elastic wearing out quickly. But I'm a really cheap person, so I give this one 4 stars.
