This picks are just great for accuracy, and getting that 'Djent' tone. I first heard about these from the guitarist in Shadows Fall, and decided to try it out. I tried every thickness and now use the 1.35mm (black) ones and very pleased with it. To me, this picks gives a little snappier, rounder, fuller tone than standard shaped picks because of the sharp tip. It takes some getting use to but once you get comfortable with it, you wont feel like using standard shaped picks. Try them out!

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
The ink fades within seconds of playing and the pick's design gets stuck in the strings which makes playing impossible. I guess not all picks were made equal.

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
I love it because it is soft enough to strum and stiff enough to pick and don't have to stop and switch out. I like the .73
I am ordering another batch now!

Good pic, nice sound, but can't get use to the sharper end.
Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
I bought these picks thinking they were only for shredders and metal dudes. I was WAY off. They sound great for flatpicking on acoustic, they can easily do a softer attack for jazz, they can provide accuracy and attack when you want to shred, you can dig into the low strings for some James Hetfield-approved chugging or even some Djent, You can play some funk and get your SKRONK on, the only thing that could be better is the rounded edges. They seem too "flat", as if there is little to no bevel. But I rarely use the rounded edges, and the pointy edge is just so great. Just buy a pack. It's only the cost of a burger, anyway. You shouldn't be eating like that anyway. "Add To Cart" You might find your holy grail
It's easy to hold on to. it has a good sound, and it looks cool (I have the purple ones)
They just don't wear down. If anything, they wear in to your picking pattern and become even faster.
I've been on the same pack for over a year. I hardly got half an hour out of my Pickboy picks.

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
My main picks for the last year or so have been regular Dunlop tortex .73mm picks. Their feel and longevity had always kept me coming back, but even though the didn't wear out as soon as most of the gel picks I was using, they still wore out a little too soon. The tip of the pick became too rounded after a while and when it came in contact with the strings it almost seemed that pick would sort of slide off the string and not pick it properly. This was a major issue being that I do a lot of speedy alternate picking and I require plenty of precision. Luckily, I came across these picks. The sharper tip makes a world of a difference when I play. Now I feel as if though the tip of the pick reaches the strings a little more when I pick so that way I don't feel as if I have to force my hand to dig into the strings just to play them appropriately. Again, I ordered these in the .73mm versions and I first I regretted it somewhat because it felt a little flimsy but after getting used to it (I play electric guitars with 10s and steel string acoustics with 12s). I've gotten used to them now and I don't see myself going back to regular tortex picks. It's definitely worth checking these out.
Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
I play bass in a deathmetal band and these picks are perfect for the bass player who either prefers a pick or is not yet comfortable without one. My guitar player gave me one of these things cause i lost my other picks, (seems to be an issue for us eh?) Anyways I instantly fell in love with these things i wont play with any other pick ever again.
Comments about Dunlop Tortex Sharp Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:
Well, they're tortex. Who hasn't tried it? Basically like a sanded down/coated in baking soda type feel. What makes them stand out is the unique shape. They continue where the 351 point leaves off, instead continually getting sharper until it reaches a sharp point. I personally bought the purple 1.14 heavy picks. They get caught on the strings in a good way. If you're a sloppy picker, try these to improve your right-hand technique (Or left hand, for you weird lefties.DO NOT WANT(Lefties, that is)).The only issue (and some people like this) is that they are a little bright sounding because of the extra sharp tip. Another thing to notice is that if you have tried the ultex sharp also, the tip is not sculpted like the ultex sharp. The tortex sharp is a straight pointy V. The last thing to note is that power chords are not any weaker with this pick. Those people are the people who send a guitar back for buzzing slightly, lose picks like mo'fo's, blow tubes and wear down fretboards. Try these. They're about 40 cents each, what do you have to lose? IF you're really short on cash, just skip a meal.
