Capoing Made Easy
When I buy anything musical, I look at appearance/design, functionality, durability and price. Dunlop came up a winner on all counts with this product and I would recommend it to anyone.
When I buy anything musical, I look at appearance/design, functionality, durability and price. Dunlop came up a winner on all counts with this product and I would recommend it to anyone.
The first Dunlop Curved Guitar Capo I purchased was done so on a trial basis. I was wondering if it was on the flimsy side, whether the spring joint would provide enough pressure on the strings, and was it padded in all the right places. Well, once it arrived I immediately put the capo into the test mode. The device passed all tests with flying colors. I started with one of these capos and now own three. That statement alone should tell you something. Folks, using a capo doesn't get any easier than this.
This capo is first rate - nothing cheap about it.
No doubt about the fact there are cheaper capos out there, and this device seems to be a little on the pricey side to me. However, once I find a product that works well and seems to have quality built in, I'm going to spend the extra bucks to get what I want.

I got this capo in 8th grade thought it was awesome I was fairly new to playing and it was cool jsut to have a capo. It sounded alright and worked okay with my beginner level Johnson Acoustic, and then I got a Fender grand concert. I lost the capo in guitar class in high school, either that or it got stolen. It did put some marks on the neck and the circular shaped part at the end with the spring started to get really loose and rattle. I thought it was going to fall apart. Then I got a Kyser quick change capo (black) and believe me that has made a world of differece! The Dunlop is a little warmer and duller sounding. The kyser is clearer and is alot better rounded in sound. Gives real life to your playing. Especially if your like me and do a ton of pull offs and hammer ons in your chord progressions. Kyser delivers every nuance of your playing in a bright punchy and lively manner with the perfect balance of lows mids and highs. Spend a little more and get the Kyser it's soo much more reliable you put it on and take it off at will, the dunlop was definately harder to take off (very hard on the hands) theres more of it and it really gets in the way of your playing. SO save your money and go for the Kyser

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:
Solid capo with a hearty spring. Does what it supposed to do but if you have light strings, the compression will sharpen the intonation.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:
I've owned many capo's over the years with most being inconvenient to put on or take off. After putting them on the neck, most would have to be adjusted to ensure there was no string buzz. This capo is easy - it can be installed with one hand, it goes on easy and tight the first time.
The capo is well made and soft materials protect the guitar neck in all the right places.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:
This Dunlop capo works great and is simple to use.
Needed to facilitate set-ups for my bass guitars, and it does the job just fine. Is a little smaller than I expected, but works fine anyway.
A great tool in my 'set-up' kit!

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:
The spring from the factory is way too stiff on this unit. I am "loosening it up" by placing it on a mic stand for a few weeks to see if I can get it to a usable state. It requires re-tuning even when placed directly behind the frets. I will stick to a better/more expensive brand next time for just a few more greenbacks. You get what you pay for.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:
After researching reviews and comments on the internet, I discovered Dunlop was the best capo for my son's Christmas gift. I then searched for best prices and found this one on Musician's Friend. I have purchased flute supplies and accessories from them in the past for my daughter, so I was very comfortable purchasing from them again. Super fast shipping and great customer service! I will be back to purchase in the future!
