OVERVIEW

The easiest capo you'll ever use.

When they made the Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo they knew your sound shouldn't change when you put on a capo, and it shouldn't be a 12-step process, either. With the Trigger capo, you'll come through loud, clear, in tune, and in less time. The Dunlop capo is made of aircraft-quality aluminum, with a strong, padded, spring-action grip that can be changed quickly with just a squeeze. Works for both 6- and 12-string guitars. The Trigger Curved Capo features a unique pressure pad that conforms to fingerboard and frets for buzz-free fretting.

This is my favorite capo. I have several of these. The way its designed is handy and practical. Make sure you get the right one. Some guitar necks look flat, but they're curved. If you use a flat capo on even a slightly curved neck, you'll get a buzz like fret buzz when you play.

I've been using a Kyser Capo for the last several years and thought I'd try a different style, so I bought this trigger capo. It works very well once you have it placed on the neck, but I have to use both hands to "pull the trigger," so it is a little inconvenient for me to use. I'm a 73-year-old female and just don't have the strength I used to. This capo would probably be fine for those with younger stronger hands. It is a nice size for storing when you travel.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

When I buy anything musical, I look at appearance/design, functionality, durability and price. Dunlop came up a winner on all counts with this product and I would recommend it to anyone.
The first Dunlop Curved Guitar Capo I purchased was done so on a trial basis. I was wondering if it was on the flimsy side, whether the spring joint would provide enough pressure on the strings, and was it padded in all the right places. Well, once it arrived I immediately put the capo into the test mode. The device passed all tests with flying colors. I started with one of these capos and now own three. That statement alone should tell you something. Folks, using a capo doesn't get any easier than this.
This capo is first rate - nothing cheap about it.
No doubt about the fact there are cheaper capos out there, and this device seems to be a little on the pricey side to me. However, once I find a product that works well and seems to have quality built in, I'm going to spend the extra bucks to get what I want.

Over time I have bought a few different brands of capos. This is the only 1 I've ever used that fully fretted the high and low E strings. Other had a buzz this 1 don't.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

I have Schubb capos, G7 capos and now this capo.

The G7 is great on electrics, but the rubber doesn't stand up to acoustics.

The schubb is extremely accurate and can be applied without making the guitar go out of tune. However it's slower to apply.

For live shows or playing with friends, where faster capo changes are needed, this Dunlop capo is GREAT! Sure it can bend the strings out a little more because it's just one spring tension, but it's lightning fast and can be stored on the headstock.

It seems really well made and does what it's supposed to. I like it!

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

I use these capos across the gamut of guitars, from electrics like teles, strats and archtops to acoustics like folk, western and classical. My sister tried one of mine on her Ukelele and then I had to go buy another capo! Quick setup and one handed operation make using these a breeze, and I park it on the headstock when not in use. Love It!

Works great, great price and great quality too!!!!!
In my 50+ years playing the guitar I've used a few capo's, this capo clamps tight and stays out of "hand's way". I have three now one in each guitar case and one in the garage studio. Thanks Jim Dunlop! I rated it at 9 just in case Jim finds a way to improve on it?
    The best
    Can't beat the price.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

I once had a Kyser, so pretty and black. But one day I squeezed it, and heard a large *SNAP*. The spring had broken; I was left with two halves. The capo was useless, and thrown into the trash. In need of replacement (And quick! I must say), I searched for a new one, and turned Dunlop's way. I read the reviews and decided to buy. With a click of the mouse, I let out a sigh. Three days later, I received a small package. Without hesitation, I broke open its wrappage. The capo popped out, and I let out a bellow, for this little device had from hello. On my guitar, was where it really shined. Every note, every chord, was clearly defined. And no problems since! I am I happy to say. 2 years and counting, of continuous play. This is a fantastic capo, and I have no regrets. Rugged construction and performance are best. Email me, if you liked my review, and look no further. This is the product for you!

      Great Capo

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

Id recommend them to anyone. They're cheap, light, and work great. If you own an acoustic or are looking at capos at all, buy this one and you won't be disappointed.
Its a capo, plain and simple. It does what its supposed to do, and it does it well.
I've owned several and never had problems with any of them. The only reason I have ever had to buy more is that I tend to lose them at shows.
Good price on a great capo. I have many other more expensive capos, and the only real difference for me is the size.

And It serves its purpose, but the spring gets loose over time, and I can tell it will eventually crap out soon. Just be warned. Just don't leave it clamped on for an extended period of time.

        By steve todaro

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

This is hands down the best capo on the market. When you clamp this baby down it is guaranteed to stay in place. I've tried different ones in the past but thet don't come close to the quality of these at all. I have owned 3 in 20 years. The only reason is I keep losing them at gigs. Guess i need to be more thorough when I am packing up. Great product great company.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

I've used Kaisers for 20 years. I bought the black Dunlop curved capo to replace the aging Kaiser. The dunlop is heavier and stronger, and stays out of the way much better than the flat capo design. It also stays out of the way when parked on the headstock in the hard case. The finish is excellent and the rubbers are placed well. Grips VERY well - good for 6 or 12 string instruments. The curve design works very well on my Martin Custom D-Classic mahogany box. It also moves to/from just as fast as straight capos. Very heavy/durable design without any exposed spring. Highly recommended.

Comments about Dunlop Trigger Curved Guitar Capo:

The Dunlop trigger capo is simple, inexpensive and does the job. I have been using one for years and just bought another for a buddy who wanted mine after borrowing it. He had 3 different kinds and none worked as well as the Dunlop., Of all the things to get right when playing, you shouldn't have to fiddle with your capo. Applying a capo should not take longer than your next number. The Dunlop goes on and off quickly. Snug it up to the fret and there is no discernable sharping. The shape of the rear arm fits the back of the neck bringing the capo into position easily. There are capos with a lower profile, but my left hand got used to this one quickly. As always, Musicians Friend delivers quality products at great prices just a click away.
Dunlop trigger capo is easy to use and precise
Using it for 3+ years with no failures and continued performance

Miles ahead of my first capo, some cheap plastic thing I bought at a department store. No buzzing or deadened strings. Spring is pretty stiff at first, though it seems to be relaxing with use, so be wary if you're lacking grip strength.
