My first set of 30002 series pedals were less fatiguing than the DW 50002 ACD. My second set of 30002 were bad. MF sent out new pair. Using 2 sets of 30002 now. In waiting for a found a better setting for my DW 50002 ACD pedals ajust 1/2 into plus on the rocker hub. Somewhere I posted use the minus adjustment. No that takes the pedals back ...Plus moves beaters forward. It makes 50002 faster.I meant plus.1/2 of the way. It shortens the stroke and makes for really nice action on that Pedal. Also the 30002 leave in neutral position. I tried others. Stock setting is best on rocker hub that way!
Peace out! Lot's of shredding fellow drummers! If you can't afford the cash on a DW 50002 TD; then get the 30002 for less. Also you young Cats tighten and check your pedals. They will hold up. Also replace worn Rocker hubs. I like to use the DW heavy duty springs. Better Bounce back.

As a follow up to my review from a few years ago, I want to say that this pedal is definitely not all I thought it was. When you are doing straight 8th notes with your feet, sometimes the screw that holds the connector on comes loose, so my slave pedal stops working in mid-song (unless you really tighten them down). While trying to adjust my spring tension, one of the bolts snapped clean in half, and one of the parts that holds on my beater is loose. I tried tightening, but I stripped the included allen wrench. Honestly, in this price range, get some Crush pedals, or save up and get some Pearls or DW 5000's; even better, 9000's. This pedal at least does get the job done, and it still feels fine when playing, which is what really counts. But if you want a durable pedal, save up some more money.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Before I purchased these pedals, I made sure I tried out as many others as I could, including the other DW series. What can I say? These are solid, high quality pedals - and for the price, these are a steal. Of course, the 9000 series are the mercedes of bass drum pedals, so if you can afford the extra 300 bucks, go with those, but if not - I would take these over the 5000 series any days. Not to say the 5000's are bad, quite the contrary, but when I was in the music store, testing out the 5000 and 3000's side by side, the differences between the two were minimal - so if you're stuck between the two, save the extra bucks and get the 3000's. It's got that DW quality you expect...easy to use, built solid, and easily adjustable. As far as pedals go, stick with DW - and if you don't feel like going broke and getting the 9000's, the 3000's get the job done.

    Okay Pedal

    By Connor Hughes

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Overall worth buying as a starter pedal, but if you are into really fast metal beats, not the best choice.
Not the best in terms of features. It doesnt adjust well and is hard to alter, but typically not too much adjustment is required
I have had mine for about a year playing a few times a week and the spring that attaches the slave pedal to the standard pedal has broken twice. This has been kind of annoying to deal with, as well as other small problems here and there. It will last if you are willing to deal with small issues.
Really good value for this pedal. It is very cheap for a double pedal and is great for a first double bass pedal. It is not the best for fast, continuous beats but is great for fills and the heavy beaters will improve your speed on lighter pedals.

I've never had any problems with this pedal and it is very easy to get used to the feel of. I love it, it's not THE BEST pedal I've ever played but for the price this is the best pedal you can get your hands on. Overall I would highly recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a solid and versatile pedal.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

When I found this pedal it seemed great. I was wrong, it was AMAZING. The spring system is great for any speed of power and can be adjusted. The double sided beaters are so convenient. They thought of everything with the features too. It has a free drum key and a drum key holder on the right pedal, They are weighted, have Velcro bottoms, and adjustable spikes to make sure the pedals stay completely still, which can be a problem if your are playing fast and hard.(The Velcro and spikes don't do much on concrete, still stays relatively still though). If you want a pedal that will last, be high quality, and be versatile for whatever you're doing, but you also don't want to pay big money for the high end pedals, this is the double bass pedal to buy. TRUST ME.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

A great deal for someone who's just getting into double bass, or for someone who doesn't bust out 5000000000 bpm 32nd notes every 30 seconds. I HIGHLY recommend it if you fit that description.
It has adjustment, just not too much of it. After all the time I put into adjusting it, I could not get the feel I wanted, without the pedals being too heavy.
I bought mine used, and it had been used for about 4 years. It feels like it's new out of the box. That should show something about the durability of DW pedals.
A VERY good deal, but if you play death metal, or use A LOT of fast fills, look somewhere else. The pedals are heavy and makes super fast speeds almost impossible, although it will strengthen your feet so you can go faster on lighter pedals.

I would recomend it to anyone as a first double bass pedal. I haven't had to make any adjustments. It was great right out of the box. Its smooth and fairly fast for the price, no complaints at all on it.
Has a fully adjustable spring. It has a nice medium weight footboard and 2 dual sided beaters.
Awsome for anyone just getting into double bass pedals. I have just got them and i fell in love. They are smooth and durable for the price.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Just like any other double pedal, it's got it's pros and cons. I've spent the last 2 years learning and practicing double bass and there is very little problems with this pedal. For the price you won't find a better double pedal period. I'd definetely recommend this pedal to anyone interested in learning double bass.
This thing is amazing. If you're learning double bass at a begginer or intermediate level this double pedal won't let you down.

Spring tension takes a bit more getting used to on this pedal than any othe previous pedal. The drive shaft that comes with this pedal is also a bit clunky at times, although these problems are minimal in the grand scheme of this pedal.
I've owned this pedal for almost two years and it works as good as the day it was opened. Since the 2 years of owning this product I have ZERO problems about the overall quality and or durability to date.
If you're on a budget, like most of us then this you simply WILL NOT find a better double pedal for the price tag.
