The DW 5000ND3 Turbo Strap-Drive Pedal offers a host of refinements and upgrades to its original, performance-proven design. The legendary DW 5000 Series bass drum pedals have remained "The Drummer's Choice" and the standard of the industry for over a quarter of a century.

This was my first pedal I can't stop talking about. It has good speed and weight, not to heavy but not feather weight. A little better feel than the Tama Iron cobra pedal
I've owned this pedal for YEARS and in short its god! Its so smooth and fast and the durability is fantastic. Its easily one of the best pedals out there and in my opinion it is the best!
This pedal is by far the best pedal that I have ever had the pleasure of playing on. Not only does this pedal beat others by simply being the sturdy make of Dw, It also blows away other models of the same pedal. The strap drive makes it faster that the chain drives and it is far more responsive to any movement of your foot. You need to get used to the responsiveness when you first start using it; There isn't much room for sloppy footwork. I recommend this pedal to anyone who plays a fast foot and groovy licks.
When I was pedal shopping I played all the different drives of DW5000s, and was surprised to find I liked the nylon strap best! I had anticipated not liking it, but ended up falling in love and buying it. I don't have to tell you how rock solid DW makes their hardware, and it is immediately obvious how much thought goes into their products. I have used this pedal for more than seven years now, and it has never annoyed me once! SO my recommendation to you is this: Try out every pedal you can get your hands on, and leave your biases at home. If you're shopping online, just be careful. If you like a sensitive, silent, rock solid pedal that feels like butter, this one won't disappoint you!
