This is a very well made and versatile stand, but definitely not for gigging unless you have alot of setup time. You need to deal with four lugs with a key to fold the pedal up and down. Just takes to long to mess with. Great for studio.
I was a little worried it would wobble, but it doesnt at all. Fast set up, lots of options, It is the best hi hat stand ive used/own thus far, and ive used a lot being on tour full time. Its also extremely HEAVY DUTY, this will take the roughness that the road has to offer
This is the perfect hi hat stand for a double bass pedal kit, especailly if you are broke like me
This is a great stand. It rocks a little, but don't worry, it won't make a difference. If you are in need of a stand get THIS one! I reccomend this to ANYONE!
extremely light, fast, and controllable. good for the money.
I like this stand except that on thick carpet it tends to wobble when closing the cymbals in a heel-up position. It also tends to rock towards you when putting your heel down on the footboard. I'm going to check out the 3 legged 5500L, which might be more stable.
This is a great hi-hat stand, I got mine yesterday and started playing with it today. Previously, I was using the Ludwig stock hi-hat stand with 3 legs and it was nearly impossible to use with my double bass. Since this one has only two legs, it's very easy to place your double pedal where you want without having to move your hi hat stand to a weird position. This stand also holds your hi-hats very sturdy and does not come undone or anything like that. My closed hi-hat also sounds better with this stand because it closes them tigher than my previous stand. (on my older one they sounded semi-open when closed, on this one they sound crisp and clean) This stand is also a decent price and I would recommend it to anyone.
I bought this stand a week ago and it's the best thing that happened to me since choacolate milk. The ajustable spring tenchtion is sweet. Pretty steary and very heavy duty. I also bought the matching drop clutch whitch is very easy to use. I think this is the best!!!
