I've been playing gigs now for 20 years this is the best guitar strap I've ever owned, very very comfortable and really cool looking. I thought it was going to be smaller in width from the pictures and was surprised by the size of it. It is hard to get on and needs to be broken in but it will and I love it.

I literally spent months looking for a really nice vintage style guitar strap for double duty use on my cherry red ES-335 and two-tone sunburst Eric Johnson Strat. Initially I tried to find something cheaper with the same features and searched four or five local stores and the internet - but all paths kept leading me back to the El Dorado straps. The plain vintage model in black was exactly what I wanted. The leather quality, leather thickness, and strap construction is in a higher league than almost any other strap you?ll find. Not surprisingly a lot of famous guitarists noticed this too and own El Dorado straps. Keep in mind, like a new pair of leather boots (or if you?re old enough to remember jeans from the 70?s that took many washes to feel right), this strap will take a few weeks or even months to break in. If you like the vintage style look and you've got a nice guitar - you'll want an awesome strap like this.

i use this strap on my les paul traditional. i thought that i'd like a nice pad bc the guitar is as light as a brick wall.. with that said, i tried it out and it was alright. the reasons i didnt put 5 across the board..it is a little high, fender and other companies make padded leather straps for 1/4 of the cost. this pad is way better quality than those straps, but still shouldnt cost this much money.and bc i didnt give it a 5 on value, i really shouldnt give it an overall 5.. to be fair.also, after a few weeks, i just took the pad off of it. its very wide and (i dont have really broad shoulders anyways,) it would rub on my neck and would irritate my skin. not becuase of the finish or anything, just bc it rubbed. so now im looking like slash with a thin leather strap. however, for old dudes with bad backs or ppl with heavy guitars... this strap really does releive a lot of pressure off your shoulders/back. at least try it!

This is a really nice looking guitar strap, even though it's a little on the expensive side. The Strap holes were a little hard to attach onto my guitar, an epiphone J-200, beacause it was modified with an electric pickup and the strap button is also the input jack, but right now the leather is really stiff, so it's hard too work with. Other than that it's a great strap, the padding feels nice, the leather is solid and high-quality, and the buckle really shines.

I recently purchased a El Dorado Vintage Leather Guitar Strap in (BLACK). I found the strap to be of high quality, well made and it looks awesome with my (BROWN SUNBURST) Fender Standard Telecaster. I will also be ordering the El Dorado Tooled-Leather Guitar Strap in (BROWN), for my (Honey Blonde/Maple) Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster. I would like to thank the people at El Dorado Straps, for making a "GREAT" guitar strap. Keep up the great work.

These are great straps. A little spendy but worth it if you want quality and comfort. The problem is that these straps come in different sizes and Musician's Friend apparently doesn't know this. These are medium length straps that go to 51 inches. If you are 5'8" or under its fine. If your'e taller this strap will be too short. Go directly to El Dorado's web site. Same price and a better selection. You can get one that fits that you won't have to return at your own expense.
