    Great for Fenders!

Sweet, singing tone for high plate voltage amps. The 6V6EH combines a specially developed cathode coating, careful alignment of the grids, and a tri-alloy plate material to create a rugged, wonderful-sounding 6V6 that performs flawlessly at up to 475 volts. Perfect for high plate voltage amps like the Fender Deluxe Reverb.

    Comments about Electro-Harmonix 6V6EH Tubes:

I will not buy Electroharmonix from Musicians Friend ever again I bought a Matched pair of 6v6s but I checked them with my Mutual conductance Eico tester and they were way off like 15 percent off from eachother! MF took them back but my question is how do you really know if you getting a good matched set unless you verify?

Best New production 6V6GT on the market

    Comments about Electro-Harmonix 6V6EH Tubes:

Comparing new production tubes to old is a bit absurd, unless thats going to be your universal standard. Too much of the insdutrial sources for grid and plate material has gone away. The New sensor tubes from Russia are getting better and closer though. New Sensor is an American owned company with American engineers working in tube developement. My overall Favorite 6V6 is the CBS/Hytron 6V6GT, and the 6V6EH is an extremly close copy. Same great bass response same smooth break up. A reprodcution of a truly classic American tube.

    EH/svetlana among best made today

    Comments about Electro-Harmonix 6V6EH Tubes:

I havent used a NEW production EH tube, in the last 3 years, that hasnt sounded and performed magnificently. Im still using (daily) some 6CA7 big boys I bought 3 years ago. great tubes at great prices. BTW the EH tube in the PIC is an EL34 not a 6V6. Their 6V6 looks just like the old RCA stubbies and they also sounds excellent. They can withstand very high(for 6V6) plate voltage for hot biasing. Dont be a tool and spend 300.00 for a pair of 50 year old vacuum tubes. Seriously

    Improved, but still falls short.

    Comments about Electro-Harmonix 6V6EH Tubes:

The 6V6EH is improved over the old black-glass Sovtek 6V6 version, but it still falls short of an old American made tube when it comes to construction ruggedness and reliability. The screen grid on the new version is still the weak link and is prone to catastrophic failure when the tube is heavily overdriven. I've seen the tubes short out and damage the amp. More than once. This was in a blackface Fender Deluxe. I would not use these tubes until that problem is fixed. The above is my honest opinion.
