Elixir Strings with Nanoweb coating last longer and sound great!

Gauges 10-13-17-26-36-46.

The engineers at Elixir took their original Polyweb coating and shrunk it down to Nanoweb size. The result? Brighter-sounding electric guitar strings that last 3 to 5 times longer than regular strings.

In addition to an ultrathin grunge-resistant tubular coating on the wound strings, Nanowebs now have a revolutionary Anti-Rust plating on the plain strings to extend their life too.

Elixirs are the first major innovation in guitar strings in over forty years, and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Doesn't your guitar deserve the best? Buy a pack today!

These string last me about 2 months of daily playing. Un-coated strings last me about a week. These are a bit more "spanky" and less "boomy" than un-coated strings but I just turn down the treble 1 notch and the bass up 1 notch on the amp. Also, they are a bit more slippery than un-coated. I got used to that pretty quickly. Very highly recommended!

Overall, I would've loved these strings had I not experienced the breakage problem. I'm gonna stick to my regular uncoated nickel strings and the regular maintenance of said strings for now. Seems to be working alot better for me.
Well the idea behind nanowebs is fantastic, have to say thats why I bought them. Indeed, they were very corrosion and rust resistant, could play an entire gig and not clean my strings, pick my guitar up the next day and with a quick wipe from a finish cloth I was ready to roll.
The features were great...the quality??? Hmmmm.. Let me explain: I bought two sets of these strings, one for my Strat and one for my Les Paul. Strung up my Les Paul first and for maybe two practice sessions and almost a ful gig they performed great. Snapped the high e-string toward the end of their gig debut... that happens though! As a result, I didn't really think anything of it. The next night we were playing the same bar again, so I stung up my Strat with a set of nanowebs and we rocked the joint with no problems. Over the next three or four days I had two solo practice sessions with them and a band rehearsal. The next time I sat down to practice, I start playing a few just whole-step bands and SNAP! There goes another high E-string!! So yeah...not so sure about these strings...
If you don't experience the problems I did, the value for these strings are fantastic. However, this premature breakage problem I've experienced drives the value way down in my opinion...

You'll get fresh sounds from Elixirs (Elc. & Act.) For a cruise ship gig, these are the way to go; the sea air will corrode your strings.

Comments about Elixir Light Nanoweb Electric Guitar Strings:

To me, these just didn't live up to the hype. They last an incredible long time and the tone is quite consistent but the feeling on the hands while playing with them just really really really bothered me after a while. I just had to go back to my standard strings once these were done with.

They DO at least last a very long time. And it has a nice tone though for me, was unusable either way. Maybe I just got a defective batch which is why I would recommend these to a friend: only to see if they had better luck than I did. If you have good experiences with them, keep using them!!!

These strings changed my life when they first came out and they continue to be the best, long life strong on the market. I rust out conventional strings pretty quick so I was stunned when I first installed them to find they last not just weeks, but months. Great tone, great intonation and phenominal life. I cant imagine any way these can be improved upon.

I don't know why there are still other strings out there, or how people have been rocking and rolling for decades without these.
                    Lives up to its slogan
Built to last, no grime, filth, rust, sticky strings, and excellent tone.
Longest I went without a string change was 6 months. thats a very fair price for a string change.
