OVERVIEW

Don't let your bluegrass lose its twang.

Gauges 11-15-26-40.

Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Elixir Nanoweb Mandolin Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. They're coated with the patented Nanoweb technology. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the enemies of tone!

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

FEATURES
  • Gauges 11-15-26-40
  • Mandolin strings constructed with 80/20 (80% copper, 20% zinc) bronze wrap wire
  • Played for a bright, bell-like tone
  • Ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating provides a traditionally textured, “uncoated” feel
  • Patented coating technology protects against common corrosion, extending tone life longer than any other brand’s coated or uncoated strings (Elixir Strings player survey)
  • Coating also reduces finger squeak

I had been playing Martin strings on an inexpensive Rogue mandolin. I was not happy with the tone of the instrument and was thinking of upgrading the mandolin. I first tried these strings and I couldn't believe the difference. The tone was fantastic and the playability was great as well. Before you give up on your mandolin, give these strings a try. They are well worth the extra few bucks.

Wouldn't buy them again

They don't stay in tune. The G and D strings sound fuzzy.

I have been using Elixir strings for years, I'm always confident they will perform great for me. I play pretty hard on stage and at practice , but I almost never brake a string, they sound great and are long lasting, the only brand I use.

I've played guitar for about 35 years. I began using Elixir strings about 5 years ago. After trying different brands I've stuck w these and they are consistent, they stay in tune and last forever before loosing sustain and sounding dead. So when I bought my mandolin I bought these for it. Same results as on my guitar. They're awesome strings. If you're thinking of buying some...buy em

Consistent great quality. For both house concerts to public performances, these strings give the quality that I have come to expect, both for the product and Musician's Friend. I am a longtime customer of Musician's Friend and I appreciate the ratings of individual items. Still a satisfied customer.

The stock strings on my Rogue A-100 mandolin were only functional. I bought the Martin strings on one broke during installation. I bought these strings and the results are AMAZING. This is now the preferred brand among all my string playing friends.
