Elixir

Don't let your bluegrass lose its twang.

Gauges 11-15-26-40.

Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Elixir Nanoweb Mandolin Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. They're coated with the patented Nanoweb technology. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the enemies of tone!

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I truly believe that the Elixir NANOWEB strings for both guitar and mandolin are the way to go. They are long lasting, resist corrosion and stay in tune, which is a wonderful thing especially for the mandolin player. They are worth every penny in additional cost.

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I go through normal strings in a few hours. Since switching to Elixir on my Martin HD-28 and my Collings MT mando, I'm changing strings a few times a year rather than monthly. I love these strings!

elixir mandolin strings - worth the price

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

      Features? They're strings
Major improvement over the strings that were originally shipped on my Rogue mandolin (play guitar, got the Rogue mandolin to try it out w/o breaking the bank). They stay in tune longer and have a much brighter, fuller sound.

      What a difference!!!

      By Special K Man

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I had been playing Martin strings on an inexpensive Rogue mandolin. I was not happy with the tone of the instrument and was thinking of upgrading the mandolin. I first tried these strings and I couldn't believe the difference. The tone was fantastic and the playability was great as well. Before you give up on your mandolin, give these strings a try. They are well worth the extra few bucks.

      Elixir's done it again!

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I use elixir for all my instruments from my Breedlove acoustic to now my Mandolin. I've used other types of strings on my Mando but these are the best. Definitely worth purchasing they make my Epiphone sing. I'll never buy a different brand again.

      Very smooth

      By ZachM

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I bought this along with my Rogue RM-100A mandolin. While I didn't really dislike the sound that the original strings had, they were kinda abrasive for doing slides. These are much smoother.

      Beautiful Tone!

      By Alex-GCnBe

      from Boston

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

I've always used Elixir strings for all my instruments, and when I went to re-string my Michael Kelly Legacy mandolin, I decided to go for something cheaper and get some martin strings. Huge mistake. As soon as I put them on, I was horrified and immediately ordered some Elixirs. These strings have a gorgeous bright tone, and don't lack any substance on the lower notes. They feel smooth as can be, and last for so long. Over all I would highly suggest you get Elixirs for any string instrument you own!

      I like 'em!

      By Gargreguan

      from Dayton, OH

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

While it is true the elixir's cost quite a bit more than most strings, I find that they last at least 4-5 times as long before they start to go dead. I also like the slightly smoother feel of the wound strings and the decreased "squeak".

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Mandolin Strings:

great strings. I got so used to having that coating on my strings that when i put a set of my old standby's on, it felt like my fingers were sticking to the strings. I noticed that the rating on these string was kinda low and don't understand why. GREAT STRINGS.
