OVERVIEW

Last 3 to 5 times longer than uncoated strings.

Elixir Nanoweb wound strings are sheathed in a thin polymer coating that retains a natural feel while protecting the windings from the gunk that shortens their life and ruins tone. The coating gives these acoustic guitar strings a smoother feel and reduces finger squeaks. 10-47.

Great sound. They feel good. And they last a long time. Order your Elixirs today.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I put these on all my acoustics. These strings sound good. They are great for those stored acoustics that don't get played much too, as they don't corrode.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Not being more than a novice I thought I may save you all some time if you are in my category. I first took it upon myself to order strings for my acoustic guitar by ordering strings that a well known aucoustic guitar manufacturer made. Hey they got to be good right. Their guitars are one of the best. There was nothing wrong with the strings I ordered. They were great. Just one thing wrong. They were the wrong size for my guitar. The sound had died. So much for my wisdom. I then called a Musicians Friend sales person who understood completely. I gave him the make and model of my guitar, he told me what I needed and my guitar sings beautifully again. Don't hesitate to ask a friend at mf. Thank you mf.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've used Elixer poly on my `94 Strat, my Les Paul & on my Alvarez acoustic/electric for years, gauge appropriate of course. These lite nano phosphor bronze strings are bright, smooth, resilient long lasting tone that make my ears happy. Worth the extra cost easy ...

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have been playing electric guitar for many years but recently made the switch to acoustic. I finally found the strings that make an acoustic sound like an electric with the Elixirs. If you like a bright sound like me you will not be disappointed. Elixirs keep their tone longer than any other strings I have used in the past. Give them a try!

      bright sound, smooth feel

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Been using this brand for years, tried some others but missed the smooth feeling that these strings give as well as the crisp sound. As an occaisional player I light the extra light - easy on the fingers. The strings don't boom the lows - but thats OK with me.

      Best strings for my guitar

      By

      from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings cost a little more but you can tell the difference with these strings. I invested a lot of money in a custom guitar and I want it to sound its best so these are the strings I choose.
The phosphor bronze adds some depth to the strings. Something in the alloy makes strings that are sweet even sweeter.
These strings always have the sweetest tone. On my Taylor (Maple b/s) they sound like a piano, very bluesy On my custom guitar (rosewood b/s) they give it the voice of an angel.
I rated these a 10 whereas I rated the plain old nanoweb strings a 9. The alloy makes a difference in tonal quality. My new custom guitar sounds so sweet with these strings it brings tears to my eyes.

      Work great on a semi-hollow!

      By

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I bought a set of these for my Agile AS-820 and they sound amazing! I've used the electric polywebs in the past, and I am so much more satisfied with these strings. They have a great tone, and I have had no issues with finger movement being inhibited. The wound G string takes some getting used to on an electric guitar, as to be expected with acoustic strings =P Overall, a great buy!

      Nanoweb EL Phosphor Bronze

      By

      from Palmyra, NY, USA

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have two acoustics, one Brazilian Rosewood, the other Mahogany, now strung with these. Both have superlative sound quality, noticeably enhanced by these strings. However be advised that the wound strings have a very coarse pitch, by which I mean the windings are of relatively thick wire with deep valleys between windings. Your fingers will notice the friction, especially if you do a lot of vertical position shifts. The nanoweb coating is thus VERY different from the polyweb which gives much less friction but also a lot less sound. I'm still deciding whether the increase in sound quality is worth it.
