I usually use the Elixir 80/20's and accidently bought Phospher because I didn't look closly enough. Good research though, If you are wondering what the difference is here goes. I personly don't care for the tone or feel the Phospher, not saying they are bad strings, just not the sound I like. The big difference is that 80/20s have that V curve eq to them, very full low end and top end, and less mids. Phospher have a lot of upper and mid frequencies, not as much bass, and they do play a litte stiffer. I think phospher would sound better on a Martin or a guitar that is focused on those frequencies, they don't work very well with my Taylor, being that the sound of Taylors are more V curve eq.

I decided to spend the extra bucks to check these strings out. I was very dissapointed in they way they felt and the way they sounded. The feel ws like teflon and the tone was dull. I have used Phospher Bronze strings in the past and liked their bright tone. These strings might serve a jazz player well as they tend to be a bit more on the smooth tone rather than bright side. I want as much bright tone as I can get and play near the bridge for the most part. I have not had these strings on the guitar very long so I have not checked out their durability. They are suppossed to last 5 times a slong but they cost 3 times as much. For my money I would rather change strings more often than endure this lacking tone.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:
the Elixir nanoweb strings are the only strings that I put on my Martin. I play a few times a week and jam a couple times a month. So, these strings get quite a workout! Awesome sound and long life.

Canadian-made flattop responds well to these strings in both the bright and deep tone characteristics. Longevity is reported to be much improved over other brands.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I Love this strings, are the best ones i've had tried, there are many other brands, but the sound of elexir acoustics (specifically this line) are the best, also the long life, the rust takes a long time to get into the strings.

See above. I won't buy these again.
The most noticable feature was that the G string broke after 6 days. And I didn't even play the guitar on some of those days. I don't imagine they would want to advertise that, eg: "These get rid of that pesky G string as quickly as possible!"
I use Elixirs almost exclusively on my Strat and love them. However, I put a set of these on my Martin and the G string broke 6 days later. Mind you, I don't go hard on my strings - mostly gentle finger picking with bare fingers. When I took them back and told my music store guy they must be a defective set, that the G string already broke, he said, "Really? It lasted that long?" He told me they usually break in only a few days. He said everyone who buys them complains of this. He told the company rep about and the rep acted like he was crazy. I guess they don't want to admit to the flaw.
These might be okay for someone who can afford to change strings every night and who doesn't play them hard. They sound good . . . until they break. So I guess I'll have to find some other brand for my Martin.
They're great when you put them on . . . then the G string breaks. Value? - 0!

I switched from EXP's to these cause the salesman said their better. They feel good but I have never broke so many strings in my life. I can go about 2 weeks then a string breaks. What a giant waste of Money!!! I will never buy any Elixer product ever again. 3 different pack, 3 different strings on 3 different brake locations. Its not my guitars, its a brand new gibson songwriter.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:
There is nothing wrong with the strings, but I usually buy the 80/20 Bronze and I got the Phosphor Bronze by mistake. I do not like the sound of these strings at all. My sound man noticed the difference immediately and said it sounded 'tinny.' I'll be more careful in the future. I much prefer the richer sound of the 80/20.
Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I recently purchased a used Fender DG-7. It sounded okay, but nothing grand. The guitar came with some Martin strings on it I believe, but they were old and rusted, and in desperate need of a changing. So after a bit of research I decided to shell out the extra $ for the Nanowebs.
After putting them on and getting them in tune I began playing and was blown away!!! The tone alone is worth the price! My Fender sounds like a Martin now - and I kid you not! These strings are simply amazing. Then I noticed that the playability is awesome as well. I can slide and actually hear the slide. I can hammer-on and pull-of and it sounds like it is supposed to! For a moment of heavenly bliss I forgot I was playing an acoustic, because these strings make the guitar feel like an electric.
Stop looking...buy these!
Awesome Playablility
AMAZING tone
Very Slick
Great strings...they feel good to the fingers...and seem like they will last a long time.
The strings are by far worth the extra money...get em!

I'm sticking with these forever.
6 strings in a box, what else do you want?
I have tried many strings and have settled on these. I went from Martins, to Daddarios, to Polyweb coated 80/20, and these are by far the best. They are very flexible and feel amazing. They are very comfortable. I just changed my old Daddario's which really made my finger tips hurt when i played finger style. The Elixirs instantly felt better and then pain was gone...These strings are magical.
They last a very long time. And to be honest, I don't think the coating takes away from tone at all, infact, it sounds better than the uncoated strings I have tried
