OVERVIEW

Elixir Nanoweb wound acoustic guitar strings are sheathed in a thin polymer coating that retains a natural feel while protecting the windings from the gunk that shortens their life and ruins tone. The coating gives them a smoother feel and reduces finger squeaks. 12-53.

Last 3 to 5 times longer than uncoated strings.

Great sound. They feel good. And they last a long time. Order your Elixirs today.

I usually use the Elixir 80/20's and accidently bought Phospher because I didn't look closly enough. Good research though, If you are wondering what the difference is here goes. I personly don't care for the tone or feel the Phospher, not saying they are bad strings, just not the sound I like. The big difference is that 80/20s have that V curve eq to them, very full low end and top end, and less mids. Phospher have a lot of upper and mid frequencies, not as much bass, and they do play a litte stiffer. I think phospher would sound better on a Martin or a guitar that is focused on those frequencies, they don't work very well with my Taylor, being that the sound of Taylors are more V curve eq.

I decided to spend the extra bucks to check these strings out. I was very dissapointed in they way they felt and the way they sounded. The feel ws like teflon and the tone was dull. I have used Phospher Bronze strings in the past and liked their bright tone. These strings might serve a jazz player well as they tend to be a bit more on the smooth tone rather than bright side. I want as much bright tone as I can get and play near the bridge for the most part. I have not had these strings on the guitar very long so I have not checked out their durability. They are suppossed to last 5 times a slong but they cost 3 times as much. For my money I would rather change strings more often than endure this lacking tone.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

My Taylor 210 came with these strings. After many months I changed them since I didn't know how long they'd been on the instrument. The tone of the old strings was still quite good. Just a bit better with the new ones. After 18 months I changed them again. Could hardly tell the difference. I play two sets and one practice every week. How could strings last this long? I would have changed my old non-Elixir strings at least five or six times in 18 months. At what I was paying for the old strings these Elixirs ended up being cheaper. More initial cost but less expense overall. I'm sticking with Elixir on my Taylor and they'll be on my Martin pretty soon too. Try 'em!

I love these strings. I use them on my Martin. I've tried several other brands, but these are definitely my favorite and I always have buyers remorse when I try different strings. They last a long time & feel so smooth. They are worth every penny.

I use Elixir srings on some guitars and not on others. They don't sound the best on all gutiars. They are always very smooth. I think they are overpriced.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I like that that these offer very good tone and are consistent for a long time. I can get about 3 months use playing gigs and frequent practice. Other strings last 3-6 weeks but the tone varies greatly during the life of the strings.

Because they are consistent and last a long time, I buy fewer strings and change less often. So the costs end up the same as cheaper strings but I save time and wear and tear on instruments over time.

I expected a little more punch and clarity. They are great for practice or background playing.
They are still very good strings.
