OVERVIEW

Funky fingers? No problem.

Jam on and on (and on) with the same premium electric bass guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available.

Specially developed based on in-depth feedback from more than a thousand bass players just like you, Elixir Strings' tailor-made selection of bass strings proudly includes nickel-plated and stainless steel construction options, four-, five- and six-string sets, long and extra-long scales, and virtually every gauge range you could possibly need. All with their innovative string coating technology. And unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings.

Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?

Premium by design, these electric bass guitar strings constructed with nickel-plated steel wrap wire boast a rich, rounded tone with incredible clarity and a heavy mid-range presence. Meanwhile, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating, redesigned specifically for bass guitars, allows a smooth, natural feel that also enhances grip and reduces finger squeak.

For a brighter bass tone, try Elixir Strings' Stainless Steel Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating.

Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings.

Great tone that lasts for a long time!
Nanoweb coating does come undone as time goes by.
For some, they may be a little pricy but in the long run, it's worth it.

I have a set of these with an Elixir .130 taper wound B string on my Fender Jazz Bass and they are the best strings money can buy. It is really worth the extra money because they last so much longer. I have had the same set on for over 9 months and they still sound great.

GO ELIXIR GO!!

By ILoveMyIceman

Comments about Elixir Nickel-Plated Steel 4-String Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Long Scale, Light (.045-.100):

These are some sweet strings. They last forever in tone and feel, and I mean FOREVER! I had them on for like 7 months and just recently changed them because I was curious about other strings. They sound almost exactly the same as the Ernie Ball Hybrid slinkys I put on. I might put the Elixirs back on after the EB's wear out, just to see exactly how long they last.

If there's one product that I wished to be endorsed by it's Elixir strings. I started using Elixirs years ago after finding that a lot of brands were rough on my fingers and didn't have longevity. So I switched over and have been happy with this product ever since. Plain and simple these are great strings buy them, use them...you won't be sorry!!

I put them on every bass.

Comments about Elixir Nickel-Plated Steel 4-String Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Long Scale, Light (.045-.100):

I fell in love with these strings after playing them on my Ibanez SR. They are so smooth, in feel and in tone. DRs felt like rusty barbed wire in comparison. Their tone is so much clearer than anything else I've ever played. They work as well on HiFi active basses as they do vintage passives and everything in between. My only complaint is that they last almost TOO long, I never get to experiment with different gauges. Going on 4 months and I have not noticed any deterioration in tone or clarity.

In my 33 years of playing bass, these are some of the best strings I've used. Worth the extra money, they last longer. While I was touring the west coast and Tijuana I only went through one pair.

The Elixer Nanoweb Light bass strings are perfect for long scale basses. They sound amazing, reduce finger squeaks, and last for an extremely long time. The sets are always consistent and have a great feel. Highly recommended.

Comments about Elixir Nickel-Plated Steel 4-String Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Long Scale, Light (.045-.100):

I had never heard of Elixr until I bought an Ibanez that came with them on it, and I was super impressed. They sounded great, and I could achieve any tone I tried to get. I first wanted a nice twangy tone for slap and it was glorious. Then I wanted something for just long notes that didn't stick out and these strings just let you get whatever sound you want. And the tone does not change at all from the time you put them on to the time you take them off. I had a set on my bass for a year of constant playing and was amazed. These strings are worth every penny. The only small complaint that I have, that wasn't major enough to be a con, is the nano-web coating after about 8 months starts to come off slightly where I play. I only play with my fingers so. I strongly recommend these.
