Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Medium (.013-.056):

I've been using Elixir Nanoweb Medium Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings since they started selling them. I know of no guitar strings that sound and perform better. I play a Taylor 810 and these strings make full use of this guitars tone. I've tried all others with less than stellar results. Do you want the best sound? Use Elixir Nanoweb guitar strings and you won't be lacking.

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Medium (.013-.056):

I have switched to Elixer Phospher/Bronze Nanowebs for all of my acoustic guitars because they outlast regular strings 3 to 1, and I absolutely dig the tone they produce.
String selection is very subjective, however their endurance isn't and Elixers just keep on going.
Some folks think coated strings produce a dull sound... but anyone that has actually uses them knows that isn't the case with Elixers.
I have tried PBs, Martins, Di'Addarios and the Elixers sound better and last more than 3 times as long!

Definitely use these with Taylor GS Mini

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Medium (.013-.056):

These elixer mediums came standard on my new Taylor GS Mini. They sounded great, and were incredibly LOUD on the small size GS. After several months of great sound, the coating started to wear, so I switched to some new Martin SP lights I had. Big mistake, the sound was nowhere near as full and loud, so I ordered some more elixers. The shorter scale on the GS Mini makes it a better match for medium strings, so use these on any short scale guitar for great sound and volume.

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Medium (.013-.056):

These strings sound super. I've only had them on my Taylor 416ce for a short time, but I knew right away that they are great. I think most Taylors come stock with 80/20's, but I wanted to give the phosphor bronze a shot. Glad I did. I'm a finger style player and these work great for me.

        Great Folk Tone

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Medium (.013-.056):

Fat Sound, my local dealer stack up these exclusively over the 80/20 because they sound so good. They are luthiers I trusted for many years for advise.

If you want get add some boldness to your acoustic guitar, try one of these.
They are probably the best sounding acoustic guitar strings from Elixir.

I tried these briefly on my Taylor DN3. It came equiped with Elixir Nanoweb 80/20. When it was time to stock some replacements, my local dealer had only the Elixir Nanoweb Phosphore Bronze and argued that they sounded better on Taylor guitar because they have warmer tone.

It turned out they have a great tone and are very lound and very well projecting, but unfortunately, the tension is much higher then the Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 of the same gauge, and it made my studio guitar sound like a folk guitar.

Sincde I did not want to mess with the near prefect factory setup of the DN3, and I prefered the Studio tone of the 80/20 over the Folk tone of the Phosphore Bronze, I decided to go back to the 80/20. But that doesn't mean they are not good strings. They are in fact better sounding in many ways then the 80/20, but I the 80/20 just suites my taste better with this specific Taylor DN3.
The Phosphore Bronze strings have huge and clear mids, and a lot of high mid harmonics. Yes they have much more tension then the 80/20, and would probably require neck adjustement when switching from 80/20 to these, but the bold and forward folk/blues tone pays back for that small sacrifice.

They have much more harmonics then the 80/20, and the high E string is not too bright. The first thing I noticed with these strings was the fact that the High E string was not lean, but rather fat and well defined.
        .
However, compared with the 80/20, the lows are a bit overwelmed by the bold mids. Which is not bad at all, it's just that my DN3 has a clean and well defined low end with the 80/20, which is not as noticeable with the Phosphore Bronze.

My next guitar will probably be more for Folk and will have these strings.

I have always used D'Addario's in the past. Elixirs have very good tone when picked finger style or with a pick. They are amazingly able to stay in tune even when first put on. I don't like the brightness when strummed. That is a matter of taste, but even on a dreadnought with a cedar top and mahogany sides and back they are a bit chimy. I might grow accustomed to it over time, but I prefer a warmer sound so will go back to D'Addario's next time.

Elixir strings work great on a Taylor 612ce. I like the medium gauge as I tune the guitar down a whole step. Also Musicians Friend shipped UPS-MI which means UPS hands off the final delivery to the post office. This works great in the city since only the Post Office has keys to the condo building for delivery.
