Elixir

Clear, bright tone and easy playing with enough tension to get the most out of your flattop.

Gauges 12-16-24-32-42-53.

Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Guitar Strings are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Elixir Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone!

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

I use to break the G string like everyone else but recently I bought a CA model GX and not only did I not break any strings, I played 8 three hour gigs, inside and outside in Louisiana (and I play pretty hard)and didn't even have to tune it! It's the most amazing combination of guitar and strings I've ever seen! The tone lasts longer than any other coated string on the planet!

So I've been deployed in Afghnistan for a little while now and there's not a whole lot to do but play some good ol' guitar ok? So I had my "el cheapo" acoustic sent to me along with a set of these strings. Let me tell you first that they DO sound amazing. I won't lie there, BUT...I don't know if it's because I have small hands or what, but these things felt like rebar, and I usually play heavier gauges than this on my electrics!! I could barely get the E string to bend 1 octave, and YES I did stretch them. I did that for 2 weeks everytime I broke out the guitar. And another thing, that Polyweb stuff is a joke. I use plain-jane Fender medium picks and that Polyweb stuff peeled off every the pick strikes the strings!! And well, this is my fault, so I can't blame Elixir, but I went to Drop C earlier today and as I tuning back up to Standard, I took the G string up MAYBE 1/2 a step and as I reached for the tuner it popped. And no, I didn't bring it up too fast, I dunno what happened. I think I'll go with Dean Markley next time, sorry. I just don't like plastic stuff flaking off my strings all the time, it looks like crap.

I like the feel and tone but the volume and punch of a Bronze 80/20 just isn't there but these last so much longer. It's a trade off I guess.

These Strings are just great. I replaced the ernie balls that i had on my Dean with these and everything felt and sounded right. when i tested them under mics they lived up to their vivid bright sound. All in all, when buying acoustic strings, im sticking to these polywebs and not looking back

I HAVE USED THESE STRINGS FOR MANY YEARS AND WOULDN'T BUY ANYTHING ELSE. THEIR LASTING BRILLIANCE OF TONE AND EASE ON THE FINGERS IS UNMATCHED IN MY OPINION. I RECOMMEND THESE STRINGS TO ALL MY FELLOW GUITAR PLAYING FRIENDS.
