OVERVIEW

Combat finger grunge!

Gauges: 16-18-28-35-45-56.

Elixir Polyweb Resonator Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone!

Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Resonator Strings:

I met a dobro player at a bluegrass festival. I was very interested in his dobro playing he was very good. Since I was learning how to play he was giving me tips. He said elixir strings are the best. This is my second set of strings, and I am convinced they are the best.

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Resonator Strings:

Have played for many years. I love Elixir Strings. The uniformity of tone is immediate. Not for someone that likes the uber-bright sound of a new set of conventional, uncoated strings. Elixir is a not as bright. For me, Elixir sounds like the strings have already been 'broken in', right out of the box. That rich tone remains for weeks and weeks of playing. It seems like a stronger string, too. Even when I use different tunings, the strings don't 'die' from the stress, and seem hard to break. I was skeptical of the price, and even any sort of coated strings - I wish I had changed sooner. Best strings I have ever used for all my acoustic guitars. These strings are also great when other strings gum-up, or (hot gigs etc...) I am the type that keeps his strings super clean/wiping etc. Elixir sounds like they are clean, even if you don't, and still remain playable.

      Resonator Strings?

      By redking15ca

      from California

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Resonator Strings:

This just seem like elixir polywebs sold in a custom gauge. There really doesn't seem to be any difference in the way they are made, just the gauges, and for some reason my A string was phosphor bronze and the rest were 80/20 bronze... Very strange... and not too great. They don't seem to be able to tune very high with the thick e string, and the other strings always seem lose... They sound fine when you put a slide to them... but.... They sound like the normal more affordable, longer lasting Elixir polywebs... and the nano webs have better tone..IF I were you I'd just buy elixir Polywebs... And take a slide to those.

      Elixir comes thru

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Resonator Strings:

Take it from me...I've tried 'em all. Looking for the perfect feel, tone, durability. From stainless, nickel, & bronze, to everything in between; I've settled on Elixir's as the best of the best. The TONE is outstanding of my D60. One thing I've noticed is that I can tune way up without breakage. Not that you will, but I do for certain reasons. I know their pricey, BUT they're worth it. They do last & I like to change strings often. So they've given me everything I want & are at about the break-even price point for strings I usually buy! Thanks Elixir

      Feel the power!

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Resonator Strings:

I play heavy picked slide blues. I beat the hell out of the strings. I put a set of these on my Rouge metal resonator as soon as I got it, and have come to LOVE the combination. No local dealers had these strings, so when it came time to re-string I put a set of GHS Acoustic Slide strings on...What a Letdown! the Elixirs were superior in EVERY way, but had voicing on the lower strings that the GHS cannot match, and the GHS mid range tones are very thin and cheap sounding compared to the Elixirs....ONLY Elixirs from now on, Thank You...I'm ordering three more sets right now!
