OVERVIEW

Steel on the inside, space-age polymer on the outside.

Gauges: 12-16-24-32-42-53.

Elixir strings with original Polyweb coating:
•Have a balanced and smooth response
•Feel comfortably smooth and reduce finger squeak

Elixir acoustic guitar strings are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years. Not only can you enjoy the playing ease of great note-bending ability, they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what guitar you put them on or how often you play.

Elixir strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone.

Most players report that Elixir strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than other guitar strings.

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings 8 Pack:

These are the best strings I have used for the top two reasons: best tone and life span. All strings have a short life span if you play constantly, these last longer and sound better. After trying all the gauges available this is my favorite size for my Takemine Supernatural, all other steel strings sound sharp or flat and have treble kinda twangy sound, the sound of these is AWESOME!!

      The Bonus is Obvious

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings 8 Pack:

OK. Even if you're no good at math it's pretty obvious from the start what a deal this is! Can't find a better price for these strings ... you save money there. Free shipping means no extra charge (except the gov's part). A free, inexpensive guitar. Delivered to your door extra fast. The guitar may not be tops but, hey, even if you give it away to some needy youngster who wants to learn, what's not to love. I actually enjoy the Rogue for open tuning. Not a bad little beast. Bottom line is why not? I've told all my guitar friends about this. Musician's Friend does it again. They never disappoint. Never.

THIS IS THE BEST DEAL ON THE PLANET!

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings 8 Pack:

I ordered the 8-pack of elixirs poly lights, which I believe are the best strings available, and with my order received the free Rogue guitar. WOW, whatta deal!...the guitar is perfect!..with the small exception of tweaking the truss rod a bit to bring the strings down, but I do that on my Taylor, too. This is my 3rd Rogue guitar. This one and my first one have been absolutely great. The second one had a nut that was too tall,,,,and I've read comments before about Rogue's having wierd nuts. Of course, you have no control over that when you order, but if you do get one that's too tall, you just need to replace it. If you get one like the one I just got, all you do is tune it up and play. GREAT DEAL! I may order 8 more elixir's just to get another FREE guitar!

      The best compromise available

      By Max the Axe

      from Pacific NW

Comments about Elixir Polyweb Light Acoustic Guitar Strings 8 Pack:

OK, so I've been playing for more than 40 years, and using these ever since they first came out...what 15 years ago now? My main acoustic right now is a Canadian-made Larrivee L03 Hog. There are strings out there that sound much better when fresh, and if you are a guitarist who is blessed with a body chemistry that is very slow to corrode strings, stay with the traditionals. For myself however, I find that a couple hours playing on uncoated strings is enough for me to notice a pronounced rolloff in brightness, definition and girth, and IMO, however good a set of traditional strings sounds, they're a waste of money if they can't even last through a single gig.I find that the Nanoweb Elixers are reasonably bright and balanced, if lacking somewhat in volume, but that they STAY that way for WEEKS no matter how hard I play on them. I also change tunings frequently, and use a capo liberally to change the tone of the axe, which stresses them even more, but these take the abuse. I also find that gauge is critical; the conventional wisdom is that heavier strings will always sound better, however I use lights to allow the top to resonate more freely. Mediums and up are fine for slammin bluegrass flatpickers, etc. The extra money for these is more than worth it IMO.
