OVERVIEW

Gauges 09-11-16-24-32-42.

Elixir Electric Guitar Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone! No more gunk and goo. No more DNA evidence. No kidding.

In addition to an ultrathin grunge-resistant tubular coating on the wound strings, Polywebs now have a revolutionary Anti-Rust plating on the plain strings to extend their life too.

Elixirs are the first major innovation in guitar strings in over forty years, and deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Fight the grunge!

Got a set of these on an LP that I got a while back, they lasted quite a while, but I haven't used them since, as I was a loyal D'Ad user. But I recently got a bad lot of those with a consistently breaking D string, so another player recommended I try them again. So far, so good, but they are slippery, and I find my fingers slipping off on long bends. Still getting used to them.

I strung my Swingster with NANO's 9's>46's and I loved the feel, but it was far to brite for the Alnico pickups and an old Flextone II. 10 months of Nano use and I wanted to try the Polywebs but they don't have a comparable size to the Nano's so I bought the 12000 Super Lights and the 12050 Lights and made my own top light/ bottom heavy Polywebs. Wow! I can turn the tone higher than 2! wonderful strings for the Swingster.More resonate for this guitar and my use.

I was using fender bullets for years. Took a chance with these strings. They are AMAZING! I am using them on a Fender American Deluxe HSS Stratocaster, that came new with 9's. I am just blown away by the tone and playability of these strings.

Just wipe these down after playing and they last for years. I have over 40 guitars. The Elixir strings are on all of them . When i take one out of the case i can wpie the strings with a good cloth and just keep playing on them. They stay very consistant in tone.

Comments about Elixir Super Light Polyweb Electric Guitar Strings:

I couldn't believe how good these strings are. I previously used Ernie Ball Super Slinky which are fine strings, but these are just on a whole other level. The tone seems to bring out more clarity and smooth out some of the unwanted harshness you get playing in a high gain setting. The coating allows you to just slide up and down the fretboard like melting butter, ultra smooth. They also seem to stay in tune a lot better than any strings I've played. These strings justify the higher price not just in durability, but in tone and feel.
