OVERVIEW

Fight the grunge!

Gauges 09-11-16-24-32-42.

Elixir Electric Guitar Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone! No more gunk and goo. No more DNA evidence. No kidding.

In addition to an ultrathin grunge-resistant tubular coating on the wound strings, Polywebs now have a revolutionary Anti-Rust plating on the plain strings to extend their life too.

Elixirs are the first major innovation in guitar strings in over forty years, and deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Got a set of these on an LP that I got a while back, they lasted quite a while, but I haven't used them since, as I was a loyal D'Ad user. But I recently got a bad lot of those with a consistently breaking D string, so another player recommended I try them again. So far, so good, but they are slippery, and I find my fingers slipping off on long bends. Still getting used to them.

WORST STRINGS EVER!!!

These strings break entirely too easily (started breaking on 2nd use). Polyweb does no good if the strings are all broken. Love Elixirs on my acoustic, but back to Boomers for electric!

Comments about Elixir Super Light Polyweb Electric Guitar Strings:

I played the typical Ernie Ball pink package, Super Slinky strings for as long as I've played guitar and they are good strings. But these are great strings!! I've read some reviewers talk about the long life of the strings, which is a good bonus. But the feel of the coating on the strings, the warmer tone and the ability to stay in tune longer than most strings are my favorite features. The feel while I'm playing them with that coating is amazing. All of the strings just slide like butter in your fingers. The tone is also warmer than my old strings. Lastly when I tune my guitar the tuning isn't near as far out. Just slight adjustments.

These strings are hands down the best that are being made today, If you take care of them, you might never have to change them. If you use a guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge, These are a must.

Comments about Elixir Super Light Polyweb Electric Guitar Strings:

Normally, I go through a set of strings in a week or two. I play daily, though not professionally any more. I do play for audiences, however, several times a month. Normal strings only last a week or perhaps two. The Polywebs last for several months. They just kept playing and playing and...

Comments about Elixir Super Light Polyweb Electric Guitar Strings:

Before I started using Elixir's Polyweb strings I would have to change my guitar strings literally twice every night. This strings not only last forever but they both sound and feel amazing. Hands down, the best strings on the market. It is a shame however that the Polywebs are only available in only two gauges.
