The MMHZ is a direct replacement for the original Music Man Bass Pickup. This pickup is passive (without internal pre-amp) and features a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. The MMHZ housing is directly compatible with EMG's entire "Active" MM pickup line. All feature the "CS" design (Ceramic and Steel). The CS design has the punch and fullness of the older passive designs along with added brightness for a better-defined tone. EMG's Active CS Series Pickups feature the same construction and have proven popular among bass players. The five-pin connector allows multiple wiring combinations so you can get both dual-coil and single-coil tone with simple switching. Each Pickup is fully shielded for a minimum of noise.

Package Includes: Mounting screws and springs.

emg mm hz bass guitar pickup

By Toneman

from Sparks Nevada

Comments about EMG MM HZ Passive 4 String Bass Pickup:

I love this pickup, most importantly it's quiet, has plenty of output and punch, and has great clarity, definition, and tone. I build and play my own custom warmoth guitars and bass guitars. I wired my mmhz in series/parallel with a 500k push/pull pot and use a emg phz in the mid. position for an infinate pallet of sounds. I had to figure out the series/parallel wiring of the mmhz for myself because it's not provided in the instructions, but at least you have the five wires available to wire your pickup any way you want; a great option. Try this pickup with a set of DR Marcus Miller fatbeam strings. I love the sound this pickup and string combination gives me.

Great tone

Comments about EMG MM HZ Passive 4 String Bass Pickup:

I love these pickups. I play everthing from metal to jazz and these get a tone for everything. The lows are awesome to get that metal sound I look for so much.It also gives highs that I use while playing a crazy bass solo in jazz.I promise you if you buy these and put them on your bass then you will be very happy. If you cant decide if you should get them or not.Get them its worth the money.Or just do what I did go all the way and buy the schecter stiletto.Either way you will have some nice emgs and an amazing sound.
