Comments about Eminence Lab 15 High-Power 15" Subwoofer:
If you want deep bass in a portable box (like 2 cubic feet and 60lbs total), and want to play at PA system levels, this is nearly your only option. This is a true subwoofer. Most pro audio speakers are woofers, not subwoofers, even if they call them subwoofers. Why, because woofers are louder. Shure they may make deep bass in a refrigerator size box, but who is going to carry that around. This is not the loudest of the bunch, but will play lower in a small box better than just about anything else out there. There are lots of low notes in pop, rap, dance, and dubstep that you would never even hear with typical PA speakers. The LAB 15 plays these low notes with authority. I am a mobile DJ. People have noticed and do comment on how good the bass sounds. Tune your cabinet low, like 35 hz or lower and have fun.

seems good. I play it with about 700 watts without an issue.
Kind of pricy, but there isnt much competition in the area of high power deep bass from a small box, unless you want to experiment with studio, hi fi, or car audio products.
Comments about Eminence Lab 15 High-Power 15" Subwoofer:
did great amount of research on legacy whispers and felt these would make up any weaknesses that i did read on some lack of tight bass. these are built great, made in usa and driven by 2 yamaha p7000s. Each amp runs 2 subs a channel and not sure i need to add xilica controller like legacy does. open baffle design is the way to go. have 5k in total spkr build and will never look for a better sounding speaker. right now using sub1 and sub2 into amps from processor and dont feel they need to be tweeked. they do just what theyre supposed to do with ease. not sure why more of these arent used in more diy systems. Thats right, 8 15" subs and handles bass with ease. x-over is at 120hz. Mcnutt at eminence engineers a great speaker, my hats off to him.
