This case is awesome! It looks really cool, outside and inside. Outside it's hard and has got 5 or 6 latches around the outside, so it's well secure. It's perfect for my Epiphone Swingster, and it's got plenty of room in the middle compartment for accessories. It fits snuggly and I feel like my guitar is safe. The outside is black and with a sleek design.
My only flaw with this case is that when I reciecved it, it had a funny smell, probably just from being new. I had to air it out for a couple days. Otherwise, it's great!

Unfortunately, not a quality product for the money. I had the same problem with my Epiphone Sorrento case that came with that guitar. The flexibility of the Tolex, i.e. plastic, doesn't allow for a consistent top to bottom fit, and leaves the main center latch without enough tension to secure firmly. If the design had eliminated the integrated lock, which came with only one key and doesn't work anyway, and used a passive loop for a padlock, at least that would have given you an actual security option.
The case does work for storage and protection, but don't hand it off to a roadie!
I'm keeping the case because I don't like returning stuff, and it does offer enough protection for my current needs, and it does "fit".
But if I had it to do over again, I'd look at other options.
By the way, the Epiphone ES-175 Premium I got from MF recently IS a lovely guitar!

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

I bought this case for a Epiphone ES-175 Guitar... This case is way too thin to fit the 175... When you close the top the latches buckle out and you can barely close the case... Called Gibson to no avail... They said this EEMCS was supposed to be the correct case for the 175... (NOT) Do not buy this case for the 175... I believe it is for the Emperor which is a little thinner...

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

Thie is a beautiful, well-made case. I bought it level 1 open box but it is mint. Tolex is not as tough as ABS but is great for around the house and light gigging/travel. Inside is plush and despite some claims I read on the internet: THIS IS THE PROPER CASE FOR THE SWINGSTER! You don't have to take the chet wire off. Just dial it around between the two tone knobs and the lid shuts fine with no pressure on the bigsby. There was a slight glue smell but nothing a dryer sheet won't cure.

The price is right. The Joe Pass Epi fits very well and case liner is fine. Not Gibson quality but not a cheap chipboard case either.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

Got this for my Gibson ES-135 after chatting with MF salesperson who said it would fit. True, it fits the body shape but the case is for a much deeper body guitar, so I had to mod the neck area to make it work.

Musician's Friend did everything I expected. The stores up in Canada could not ship this case to me. MF was going to charge 60% to ship it here, so I had them ship to a US address. Timely and finally, I have the appropriate case.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

A nice case, received it a day ahead of promise, however, was very disappointed, as it did not fit my Emperor Regent! I have a 17" body, and no way would it fit inside the case, and no way could I even close the lid without crushing the bridge. Perhaps the newer Regents are smaller in size.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

There is apparent confusion as to the correct case for the Swingmaster limited series b/c of the Bigsby bar. This is the correct case. Snug fit, storage compartment below the neck support, arched case top and does not depress the Bigsby bar.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

I was impressed when this case showed up. I bought my Joe Pass Ephione guitar without a case, now that I'm giging, I needed a case. This case is like the Cadillac of cases! The inside is so plush!, and it has a compartment with a cover! Most cases don't have a covered compartment within them, for your extra gear, strings, picks, etc... The outside is a shinny molded form that feels tough like a tank!

It's a shame that they don't offer a gigbag for this guitar. It is a special order and costs more than the hardshell. Bacause the guitar has size issues that don't allow a regular gigbag, this is the only option.
