Got this for my Gibson ES-135 after chatting with MF salesperson who said it would fit. True, it fits the body shape but the case is for a much deeper body guitar, so I had to mod the neck area to make it work.

Worthless

Very low quality the lining even sags inside on lid.
Takes effort to align and close the latches.
My Es-295 did fit though.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

There is apparent confusion as to the correct case for the Swingmaster limited series b/c of the Bigsby bar. This is the correct case. Snug fit, storage compartment below the neck support, arched case top and does not depress the Bigsby bar.

Does not fit Epiphone Emperor Swingster guitar

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

The Epiphone Swingster guitar does not fit in this case due to the Bigsby tremolo arm. Even if you swing the arm down opposite the headstock and use an allen wrench to slide the arm in,...the Bigsby arm will still contact the edge of the case and press it downward. To make if fit you would have to modify the case by cutting out some of the edge. This is a great case,...very sturdy,,...but it does not accomodate the new Epiphone Swingster electric guitar.

    Want a good case?

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

This case is awesome! It looks really cool, outside and inside. Outside it's hard and has got 5 or 6 latches around the outside, so it's well secure. It's perfect for my Epiphone Swingster, and it's got plenty of room in the middle compartment for accessories. It fits snuggly and I feel like my guitar is safe. The outside is black and with a sleek design.
My only flaw with this case is that when I reciecved it, it had a funny smell, probably just from being new. I had to air it out for a couple days. Otherwise, it's great!

    Epiphone Emperor Case

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

Cases, cases ......... there are a ton of them out there. But unless you are a Professional Musician trying to display your gems, the main idea on a case is PROTECTION. This Epiphone Emperor Case is very nice outside and inside. Outside is finished very well, although the Epiphone logo was not silk screened that well. But the outer skin and stitching are very well done and strong. Inside the plush lining and cushioning is also very well done. I bought this case to use for an Epiphone Les Paul Vintage Sunburst 2-Tone Clone. It fits tight, and looks awesome in the plush interior. The accessories compartment has a strong & substantial flap cover. Lots of room for strings, pics, cords, etc.I would have rated this case as a 10 except for the logo screening, AND the fact that there are more expensive cases out there. But for the modest price Musician's Friend is charging, it is real bargain!

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

I bought this case for a Epiphone ES-175 Guitar... This case is way too thin to fit the 175... When you close the top the latches buckle out and you can barely close the case... Called Gibson to no avail... They said this EEMCS was supposed to be the correct case for the 175... (NOT) Do not buy this case for the 175... I believe it is for the Emperor which is a little thinner...

      Superior case

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

I've had lots of guitars and cases over the years and this is a very fine case. back latches like I remember from the old gibson cases. Very plush and strong. Superior construction and quality. It puts my modern "custom shop" cases to shame.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

This is a really good case. I bought it for my Epiphone Emperor Swingster. The guitar fits snugly and securely. When the top closes it depresses the tremolo bar just a bit and loosens the strings which in turn takes stress off the neck. This is great if it is going to be stored or transported.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case:

I have to give this case a high rating just because of the workmanship, price, and over all value. It's too bad about the lid/top not allowing more room for the tremolo bar.
I think this case is built great, very well made, and the Emperor Swingster Hollowbody Guitar fits in it like a glove, with one exception: The design of the lid/ top doesn't allow for the tremolo bar. any position of the bar will release strings, when the lid/top is closed. Needs some redesigning to the lid, to accommadate, this particular guitar mentioned
I have to say the quality of this case is unmatched. lid/yop mates to the case bottom perfectly, and the latches function properly. in addition to this it looks great.
The value of this case compared to higher priced cases is simply unbelievable.
