I just got this case for my Epiphone Firebird Studio. I wasnt sure what i would get because the site used to have pictures of a case that wasnt molded and the reviews were pretty harsh. But after months of living with no case for my darling guitar i decided to risk investing in one of these. When i got it i was blown away. This case is absolutely beautiful. It had no blemishes and everything worked perfectly. The firebird fits beautifully. It IS molded and very well made. If you own one of the Epiphone Firebirds i highly recommend this case.

Terrible customer service. I will not buy anything from Musicians Friend again. Bad product, bad service.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

I ordered this case on a Monday & it was here on Wednesday WOW. Very good looking case plush inside & was contoured just to fit this guitar. For the price a person could not get any better. As good as cases costing much more.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

Nice case overall. Could work as an everyday case no problem. Plywood construction that was damaged in shipping. (Thanks UPS)

I have an Orville FB and the neck angle didn't accomodate the banjo tuners. Epi's don't usually have them, but Gibsons do. I'd say if you've got an Epi FB, get this case, it's better than any gigbag and for the price u can't go wrong.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

I just received this case in the mail today and could not be more happy with it. Don't listen to all of the negative comments stating that it is too big, bulky, and the like. My limited edition Epi Firebird fits perfectly in it and I could not be more happy with my purchase. The case is molded to fit the guitar, and has more storage room than you could ever want. The ONLY thing I did to make it work better was to place an old t-shirt under the guitar in order for it to level itself up a bit more. Face it, it's a CASE and is meant to protect your guitar and nothing more. You are going to eventually get scuffs on it, so quit your complaining if it is not 100% perfect! Totally worth the money!

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

Very nice case, only the picture on this site did not match the actual case, it was form fitting inside, which is great, however did not fit my left handed version, so had to send it back, MF was nice about it, but outdated picture caused a pain of buying and returning. If you got a righty, get it great buy, nice case for the dough.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

Just wanted to say it's a good case and, while a bit bulky (but then it is a firebird case), it is fairly well balanced and good protection. Mine came with some handling scuffs and very slight nicks. It was new, but one of the catches was installed slightly off center, so you have to fasten it last and mess with it. It still holds securely though. If you have a firbird it is a good case, but inspect it thoroughly.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

Mainly, just wanted to say I received it with slight damage, apparently form the warehouse. I had 2-3 nicks, a slight skinned spot and some scuffs. Also the top is ever so slightly sprung. Not so bad it won't close or is unusable. I'm not going to send it back simply because it isn't that bad and I don't want the hassle. It does it's intended job and holds my Firebird VII very securely, that was my main concern. Interior is plush and protective. Lock works as it should. Has an ample storage compartment. And now after looking a little closer, the top is not sprung, actually, 1 of the catches is a little out of line so instead of that aspect of the damage, that is a QC problem, but as I said, I can live with it, as slight as it is. I had a discount coupon so I got it for less than sale price shipped. I'd recommend it, come on, a big, bulky Firebird case for cheap. But if you do get one then perform an immediate close inspection and call them if there is a problem, even if you don't send it back.

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

It is what it is. It is a case, it IS formed to the body of the guitar, or at least the one I recieved is. There is plently of room around the headstock and in the "pocket" to store various items and music. Plus it is relatively cheap for a odd shaped guitar that is also a brand-name case. I am very pleased with it.

Poor Quality - Could be better

Comments about Epiphone Firebird Hardshell Case:

The latches on the case kept wanting to open on their own! As for the inside of the case, the compartment lid was REALLY warped (about 2" higher on one side).Of course I sent this one back for exchange. The 2nd case I got was better, but was missing the key for the lock - no big deal, but I think it speaks for the quality of this case.I should have saved my money and bought a Gibson Firebird case instead!
