Do you own a Thunderbird? Are you lacking a good strong case for it?
Stop waffling and buy this case immediately!

It fits my T-Bird like a glove, the interior is shaped specifically to cradle and immobilize the guitar.
Nice plush lining, has a big hinged compartment for all your loose junk and gobs of space around the head stock. Plenty of room inside for cables, picks, books, tuners, blah blah blah etc. Also has feet on the bottom for lying flat and on the hinge side so you can stand it on edge. Handle is sturdy and offset for balance so it carries level.

Only con is you have to have a really flexible strap to be able to leave it on while the guitar is cased, but that's not really a big deal.

Sure, you can't hit it with a truck and expect your guitar to survive, but if people are hitting your stuff with trucks you need to hang out with different people.

This is as good as it gets without spending all the money on an train-wreck proof aluminum coffin for your bass. Digs on the Epiphone logo, too.

I have been playing live and doing studio work for over 40 years. I have dozens of guitars and basses and have owned many others over the years. This is, without question, the worst case I have ever owned. I have a hard case for every guitar and bass I own. Some from manufacturer and others from 3rd party vendors. This case is a mess. Flimsy. Interior not aligned properly. Just poor quality. If I get 8-10 uses out of this I will be very surprised. Please stay away from this Epi case and find some other case to purchase. Worst purchase I have ever made from MF. I wish someone had warned me as I am sure for about the same or maybe just a few more sheckels, I could have purchased a solid case. Junk.

My T-Bird Pro fits like a glove in it!

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

I have seen other reviews about this case and wanted to say that YES, this case does fit the Epiphone PRO model. There are slight differences in the body of the two different base models but the case I received fit my PRO model fine. The hinges, latches and handles are sturdy enough for day to day use but unless it is a shipping crate, nothing will stand up to what some of you apparently expect. But then, I have bought used pedals from some of you guys that had been stomped literally. So when you fling open a case or do not take the time to align the latches or overstuff the inside with 'other stuff'... parts fail.
If you need a case for airline travel or long tour duty, this is not it. You will need to get something built or put this case inside a larger case. For day to day going to practice and local gigs where you have control of the instrument, this case is fine.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

This particular case was no Poo-Poo. I was blown away by the quality of the plush perfectly cut and placed interior. If the interior had been white it would be of Gibson quality, but this interior is grey. Just saying.. this is just as nice as the 2010 Gibson case i owned for an SG Standard. Obviously Gibson has stepped it up using the vintage cases again but trying to find and buy one is nearly impossible.
Got a 10% discount as well so this was a real good purchase. Honestly i didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Good case!!

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

Contrary to the negative review posted here, this case DOES fit the neck-through Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV bass guitar. The fit is great, the quality of the case is good, no problems. Since my new Thunderbird has already been dinged once, I am pleased to be able to protect it with this case. As far as weight goes, it is necessary to have a heavy case to properly protect the guitar. All wood cases will be heavy when compared with an injection-molded case.
My Thunderbird fits this case without flopping around, which it would do in any other case big enough to fit this full length scale bass guitar.

The Only Way to Case a Bird

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

If you own a Gibson or Epiphone Thunderbird base, this is the best way to go. Because of the unique shape of this bass and the extremely long length, no generic or aftermarket case will work. Every single case I looked at was close to 2 inches too short for the Bird.

This Epiphone case provides perfect fit and protection -- the internal foam even has cut outs for the through neck construction where the body is thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

I bought this case not expecting it to be perfect (For how low the cost was).. but when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised! For the money, this case is absolutely PERFECT! The only downside is that it's kinda bulky. But not a huge problem. It's very comfortable to carry. Very balanced. For the price, you simply cannot beat it. Buy it. Now.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:

Needed a TBird case and this does the trick. Good quality. I would suggest airing it out once you get it as mine had a chemical odor when I opened it. I left it on my porch for about five hours and the smell had disappeared.

This case is only good for a TBird bass guitar.

I had to buy a new Gibson T-Bird case. But, Gibson wants 500.00 for a new case & the Epi case was only 80.00. For their case. So, I bought the Epi case, until I can get my Gibson case fixed!
