Do you own a Thunderbird? Are you lacking a good strong case for it?
Stop waffling and buy this case immediately!
It fits my T-Bird like a glove, the interior is shaped specifically to cradle and immobilize the guitar.
Nice plush lining, has a big hinged compartment for all your loose junk and gobs of space around the head stock. Plenty of room inside for cables, picks, books, tuners, blah blah blah etc. Also has feet on the bottom for lying flat and on the hinge side so you can stand it on edge. Handle is sturdy and offset for balance so it carries level.
Only con is you have to have a really flexible strap to be able to leave it on while the guitar is cased, but that's not really a big deal.
Sure, you can't hit it with a truck and expect your guitar to survive, but if people are hitting your stuff with trucks you need to hang out with different people.
This is as good as it gets without spending all the money on an train-wreck proof aluminum coffin for your bass. Digs on the Epiphone logo, too.

This is a great, fairluy well made case for the Thunderbird with the bolt on neck, BUT if you buy the more expensive Thunderbird Pro with the "thru Body" neck like the real Gibsons, the bass does not fit the Epi case. It does not fit the Gibson case either. We contacted Epi about this when we got the case we ordered and they haven't offered us a solution yet. We are on the road so we use the Epi case but have had to "force" the bass to fit. It's better than no case at all, but it is still a less than adequate situation.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
Thunderbird Pro fits PERFECTLY in this case. Bulky, yes, but it has to be to hold this huge bass. Seems like it will offer great protection. Would have given it 5 stars, except for the fact that top corners of the case were slightly scuffed and scared up, and the case came with only one key for the lock.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
Case fits my Thunderbird Pro very nice. Good protection. My only complaint, and reason for the four stars, is that the outside material bruises, or gets marked up easily. I have been semi-careful with it and have only hauled my bass about five times to practice. The case already looks like I have used it for months. Personally, I don't care how the case looks on the outside, as long as my bass doesn't get hurt. Good news is, no rips in the material yet, but I haven't gigged with it yet, either.

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
I have a 2008 Thunderbird. It will NOT fit in this case as the body is slightly wider than the current T-birds and the case cut-out

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
I bought this case to protect a 1964 Gibson T-Bird.. These are about the only case that fits the T-Bird so you don't have much choice other than going to Gibson. They really don't sell them as you a get a case when you buy a Gibson Thunderbird... However my Gibson case broke a few years back so I pick this one up...It will not make you play better but it does the job

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
This Case is an Awesome Case for the Epiphone ThunderBird Bass Case!! I had my ThunderBird in a Soft Case that wasn't long enough for the neck of the Bass.. So When I found out that Epiphone had a Case Just for the ThunderBIRD I was very Happy that I didn't have to keep hitting the top of my Bass with the stupid zipper...
Buy this Case! The Fit is Perfect, for those of you who have this Bass know that it's a very long Bass, so just expect that when you get this hard case that it is a Bit Longer Than other Guitar/Bass Hard Cases just so you know, But it is Very Nice for the Cheap Price!! And the Epiphone a lettering on the side is pretty cool too..

Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
This case is a bargan at [$], and a steal at the [$] sale price. My T-bird fits like a glove and is well protected. If you're looking for a really good, not great case. This case is it. Let's put the apples with the apples and the oranges with the oranges here. This case is a great orange that does the job well.
Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
As there are very few bass cases that will hold the unusually shaped and long Epi Thunderbird bass, this is better than a cardboard box ;-)
BUT if you want a more protective case, I'd recommend the Reunion Blues Bass case.....a pricey (expect $200 range) but near indestructible, lots of pockets, shoulder straps, and hard to tear or ding. Don't think of it as a gig-bag....its top stuff.
The case has a huge inner storage compartment which is very convenient...big enough for a 20' cable and straps. The interior fabric is long-fur plush. Guitar is very well protected in the cutout shape. The only thing I didn't see was a velcro tie strap around the neck, but it sits pretty compressed in the fur so it doesn't move much.
The exterior hinges and locks are pretty cheapo. I've heard that others have busted them but I can't envision the problem as I don't throw the case around.
This case should be $50...not closer to $100 for what it is.
Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
No brainer for the T-bird owner.
It's a great case, well-built and very attractive.
The quality is very good, much better than the musicians gear cases with better materials, hardware and of course a custom fit.
For the price of a crap case, you get a good one instead and it fits your epi.
Comments about Epiphone Thunderbird Hardshell Case:
It was extremely hard to find a case that would fit my Thunderbird bass and this case was built for it let alone having the area for the bidy fit molded to fit it perfectly!
It locks down well and has plenty of space in an inside, excellently placed, storage area with a flip top cover for, strap, tuner, cable and other things too.
The price is also GREAT!!
In the end = EXCELLENT PRODUCT, EXCELLENT PRICE, EXCELLENT AVAILBLILTY AND DELIVERY!!!!
I love this case and it was quickly delivered to me too!
Excellent Thunderbird fit
Great price
