      Easy - look closely

Comments about Ernie Ball 1/4" Stereo Acoustic Endpin Jack:

This is a great jack! I'm very pleased with how well it holds my chord; I don't ever worry about coming unplugged. It also sticks out about an 1/8" more than my original jack which makes it easier to attach my strap.A few installation tips:1. Look Carefully at the smaller 3 pins (for stereo or TRS chords). They are all different lengths. The short one goes to the tip, middle to the ring, and long to the sleeve.2. If you're not used to soldering, have an extra set of hands... you probably won't have a lot of extra chord to play with.3. If possible use a continuity meter to test your connections before you start. I plugged in a 1/4" chord to my old jack and tested the continunity of the end of the chord to the jack so I could tell what color wire I had to hook up to which pin.

      Waste of my time

Comments about Ernie Ball 1/4" Stereo Acoustic Endpin Jack:

It doesn't come with an electric diagram or an instruction manual, and from the way it is designed there is no way you can tell the differences with the ends where you solder the wires on. You only have 6 total possible ways of soldering of course, but I'm done on my third try.
